If I could take one game to a deserted island, it would be this one. Endless stories, endless fun. Dwarf Fortress has a very high skill floor and skill ceiling, but if you stick with it you'll find one of the most incredible experiences in gaming. I have many more hours on the original version before the steam release and it has only gotten bigger and better, with much more to come. It's also a passion project by two brothers, so you can support the developers fiscally much easier than you could with a large company. Also no DRM, microtransactions, or DLC as of the time of this review. It's really just the perfect game.

this is depressing I'm out

A fun game that ended way, way too soon.

It was amazing while it lasted, but unfortunately, it lasted for less than 2 hours. If you got it for 5 bucks like I did, that's $2.50 an hour. If you paid the full price ($15.00 USD) then it's more than $7.00 an hour.

I wouldn't pay that crap for a waterpark, especially not if it ended so quickly.
It's basically $15.00 for a game that's possible to speedrun in 30 minutes.

In my opinion, not worth it.
