This game is actually really good in terms of story and gameplay. In my personal opinion, it is the worst Bioshock game, but the series as a whole is awesome, so that isn't saying much. Most of the negative reviews here are from people complaining of crashes and the 2K launcher, but I know a good fix.

If you go into the local game files and find the Bioshock2 exe file, you can launch straight into the game with it. You can pin the file to your taskbar and launch the game in the normal way, without the launcher or crashing bugs. If you want to get technical, you could also go into the launch directions under advanced and specify a working file path so you can launch it straight from Steam.
