Wish I could have enjoyed this game. Every system in the game is clunky; combat, building, movement, inventory management, ui etc etc. Quite repetitive in nature, would only recommend to people who enjoy games like Risk of Sleep 2. Honestly very close to being playable but not quite.

I've since come back and gave the game another go. I think I didn't give the combat the credit it deserved and its not a bad game. definitely better than risk of sleep 2

Honestly having a lot more fun than I'd imagined I would with this game. There are definitely some clunky elements; the combat could do with a revamp to remove the animation lock and to be more rewarding allowing players to actually dodge attacks from enemies rather than having to always face tank/trade dmg. Deaths are generally not punishing enough after the first one and bosses aren't challenging mechanically but rather by using a larger and larger hp bar. Some controls/hotkeys are questionable but customizable.

Otherwise a pretty entertaining game

Honestly just a really solid game, excellent value for money.

Could do with some more difficulty/timing curves

A feel good game designed to make you feel smart for solving children's puzzles. I am currently thoroughly enjoying my play through. This speaks to my desire of wanting to feel intelligent. Couldn't recommend more if you have a superiority complex like myself.

Honestly I tried really hard to like Risk of Rain 2.

The game takes so long to ramp up to an enjoyable difficulty for anyone with more brain cells than a sea sponge, never mind the incredibly lackluster item system that doesn't feel rewarding at all. Every hour I've played in this game was an hour wasted. If you are looking for a game to enjoy, go next. If you want to simulate a vegetative state of mind, give it a purchase.
