Great game. Love the 80's aesthetic and sound. I was laughing like a madman during the last half hour of the story. I didn't feel the need to go through and unlock all the attachments, find all the collectibles, or even secure all the towers. It's not needed to finish the game.

With that short run, it only took me about ~4 hours to beat. You could choose to spend more and enjoy the world, but for me the best part of this game is the story.

Very short game, yet completely unforgettable. That and it regularly goes on sale for ~$0.99. If you don't already have this in your inventory, pick it up now!

My biggest praise to the game is that losing doesn't seem bad. When I lose, I look at the circumstances, learn, refine my technique and strategies, and hop back in to another run.

Each loss helps you learn the game better, and gives you another opportunity to try for a better run with better draws / relics.

Easily worth your money and time.

Great game. Finished the main story (while doing a large chunk of sidequests) in < 15 hours as Mordecai.
It's fun, but being the first game in the series, they weren't as up front about the Borderlands style of humor as they are in BL2.

If you do get into the Borderlands series, please start with this game. The story isn't the main reason I suggest this. The following games BL2 and TPS are a lot more refined and bold than this game, so if you come back to it expecting the same level of grandeur that you experienced in later games, you may be disappointed.

Still really fun. It looked great and ran perfectly on my system {Nvidia 1050ti graphics card, 8GB RAM, Intel i7 processor in a Dell Inspiron "gaming" laptop}.

Didn't play the DLC or anything in NG+, because I was getting pretty warn out towards the end. I would prefer to jump from this into BL2 than do another replay.

Fantastic game. I've usually seen it on sale for ~$10.00, and it's a steal for that price. I beat the game on 'Hurt me Plenty' difficulty in ~10 hours. Past the campaign, there's plenty to do on the side, like look for collectibles, run levels as fast as possible, and enjoy the multiplayer (I thought it was fun, even though it seems to be pretty dead).

Enjoy the atmosphere, the gunplay, and the amazing soundtrack. I've been listening to the OST on Spotify pretty regularly for about a year now. My favorite levels were in Hell, because the atmosphere was phenomenal. I loved the color scheme, with the vibrant oranges, yellows, blues, and green.

I would say that the campaign and story is secondary to your experience as the Doomslayer, and you can tell that at some points the game knows this.
