Fully destrucable environments, a wide variety of weapons and gadgets, and an absolutely underrated soundtrack.

The Finals is a breath of fresh air in the multiplayer FPS market.

Easily the best movement shooter I've played in years. The open world gives you a playground to test the limits of the movement system outside of combat and the destructible environment is the cherry on top.

The praise for this game is well earned. It is the perfect evolution of Soulsborne gameplay.

Don't go into this thinking it's cyberpunk GTA. It's basically Deus Ex: Human Revolution set in the Cyberpunk 2020 universe.

NOTE: My actual time played is ~550 hours more than Steam says because I played before the game switched to Steam.

Destiny 2 is the best looter-shooter on the market rn. The core gameplay is incredibly satisfying. Movement, gunplay, and abilities are all exceptionally smooth. There is also a sense of progression both in light level and in terms of farming specific armor/guns. These two factors alone are enough to keep sucking me back into the game. There are also a variety of gamemodes (including PvE, PvP, and PvPvE) to prevent the game from becoming boring. And all of the different types of gamemodes can be experienced without spending a single dollar, including raids.

The game is not perfect, of course. My biggest gripe is the many obtuse and complex systems (Armor 2.0 being the newest of these) and Bungie does not do a good job of explaining these systems in the game. If you can, grab an experienced friend to help out or head over to r/destinythegame to get a better rundown on any questions you will inevitably have. And make sure to talk to Amanda Holliday in the Hangar at the Tower to play through the campaign missions (Red War, then Curse of Osiris and Warmind).

Overall, if you like looter-shooters or even just FPS games in general, you'd be doing yourself a disservice by not at leas trying the game out.

This is my third time buying the game. The only flaw is how tedious the endgame grind becomes, but the 60+ journey to get there more than makes up for it. The graphics, sound design, and weapon variety are all excellent.
