There's a lot of hate for this game and it's publisher company, and to be fair they deserve A LOT of it.

The mod browser is a HUGE no no. Make it an option. Obviously it's been done to prevent people sharing and installing premium mods but there HAS to be a better option. Just let us download mods from Curse ourselves, and keep your hand holding for people who need it. It's ridiculous, it's a huge time sink, and frankly your UI for browsing Curse is just awful. It's slow, it's barebones, it's garbage. Low effort ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, and for what? To moderate what can be installed to a single player world for a game I bought? TWICE?

The game is good though, and the devs have put hundreds of hours of content into every map. In fact, my other biggest gripe is how long it's taking them to port maps to this new version. I won't see Ascended Genesis 2/Fjordur for another two years which is just insane.

All in all I enjoy the hell out of this game and will continue to, and I'm very happy that they're bringing all the maps and DLC back for free. I love that. But the Modding situation, along with premium paid tames and premium paid maps, it's a huge put off and it's enough that if and when I talk about this game to friends, I'll suggest they stay away from it despite my personal affection for the game.
