Dicey dungeons is a interesting game. Where the mechanics are well thought out, and the visuals support the themes of said mechanics. That being said dicey dungeons is not a difficult game, from booting up the game i was able to play and win 3 times with no prior knowledge of anything in the game.

Due to this the game is missing one of the crucial aspects of any rogue-like, replay value. This is not helped by the dialogue in game which presents its self as being difficult and unlikely to win, which in reality means you always lose the game show at the end. which is out of your control.

This game is a more friendly and approachable version of games like wizard of legend and slay the spire, and as such has a place as being an introductory game to the rogue-like genre. It is for this reason that i recommend this game as it serves as a solid foundation for someone wanting to get into rogue-likes however people more experienced in the genre are unlikely to find much in this game beyond the first few runs.

played for a few hours, made a huge farm, got a gold clock, broke the summer sale. good game
