i really enjoy this game. a lot of other fashion games are very 'pink princess' centered, but life makeover has a really good diversity in styles. there are lots of free outfits to work towards, and the character customisation is EXCELLENT. you have to work to move away from the initial childlike look, but you can get a lot of mileage out of it,

there is a strong gacha element but it's far from the worst i've seen (nikki games, heartopia, genshin). you can get a lot of free currency if you do your dailies. they also give out free 6* outfits every so often (i've been playing about 8 months and have 3 free ones).

the housing feature is surprisingly fun too. it's very rough and is missing some nice features, but it can definitely keep you occupied.

elin is one of my favourite games of 2025 and i started playing in december. the scope of this game is insane. it's a true sandbox. it has that lovable jank that games like dwarf fortress do, when the simulation is so detailed, you get some really weird stuff happening.
shoutout elin. here's to another 100 hours of gameplay.

this game is a lot of fun for early access! the bugs are minor and don't interrupt gameplay. i LOVE the level of customisation, and the research tree is satisfying. can't wait to see it get even better with updates.

people leaving bad reviews for connection issues at day one of EA launch are dumb. this game is gorgeous.

the process of growing or buying to cooking to plating up to serving to cleaning is convoluted and not very enjoyable. i waited to buy a helper but it doesn't make it feel enjoyable. if there were fewer steps involved i would feel less rushed all the time.
also the AI sucks. the dialogue is so weird, and not in a quirky funny way.

updates are slow as christmas, half the communication is just the devs promising stuff that isn't gonna come out for ages. this game is not worth a sub on top of buying it.
the 'player-driven content' thing just doesn't fly either. they're making you pay for a game that you have to make exciting.

this thing is amazing. i originally got it to use for heavily modded minecraft + shaders, and it works so good i've started using it for other games.

was excited about the automation aspect until i realised it would take so long grinding to get anything running automatically. specifically grinding with confusing controls, no inventory system, and constantly having to pick up and put down everything. great concept, but so dragged out and unpolished you lose the fun.

i loved divinity: original sin 2 and my only criticism was "i wish it was gayer". safe to say, i've reached my video gaming peak.
