Surviving in the Forest is easy once you pass the 'purchase three times and never see your game move from the Steam Cart' mission. Can't wait too explain to my bank how much I wanted to play this game.

is gud... nice update graphically to the OG. Like the smooth transition from underground 2D to above ground isometric. It's like Shelter and This War of Mine got busy and had a luv-child, Great game at a great price.

Edit: So I'm 20 hours into the game now and have run across a few bugs. weapons not showing up in inventory after a trade. Audio pops & clicks after several hours of continuous play. But still I am really into this. I'm reading some of these reviews that say it's not like the original. I have to wonder what game they were playing? This game is awesome if you're into survival/resource management games. It can get difficult when the temps warm up and water runs out, yes. But why would someone play a game like this that is too easy?

The Dev is working hard at addressing bugs as quickly as they can but Jeez folks, what do you expect for a 20 dollar game? Some of these post just scream entitlement. I'm an older gamer and remember first playing video games in arcades when you would drop a quarter and maybe get 10 minutes of gameplay, if you were good. These games today provide many times that in playtime/cost ratio. I just can't get over some of the snot-bubble reviewers that seem to think this game should be Hello Kitty: island Adventure.

Keep up the good work Devs. I love this game and am more than willing to play it while it gets polished.

Was a SCAM. They took our money but didn't live up to their promises. Have applied for REFUND but not holding my breath. STEAM needs to figure out a way to refund for anyone who commits to the Devs promises in EA but loses their money when the Devs Fail. Getting Really tired of EA rip-offs by kids who find game development too hard.

Been with it since day one. Loving this game was like loving an alcoholic. It felt like all lies and betrayal in the beginning but after two years of sobering up, finally we have something close to what got us all hyped in the first place. A thing of beauty and probably the best exploration gaming experience one might have these days. Kudos Hello Games. Way to redeem yourselves.

I've been with this game for a few years and it's one I've regularly come back to time and again.

Not only does it fulfill all my OCD needs to farm for resources needed to build my super cool habitat full of all the latest sci-fi gadgetry, but it does one thing right that so many games fail at. It nails the tension you get when swimming in unknown waters. The atmosphere in this game is superb.

If you've ever been swimming at night and something touched your foot, sending you squealing to shore like a child dribbling in snot bubbles. This is the game for you. The deeper you go the more the tension builds. You find yourself taking risks you might not normally take in other games just to explore a few more feet of that deep, dark cave.

Hours of nonlinear fun that allows you to follow the story line at your own pace, giving you ample time to get jumped by all the creepy-crawlies that lurk in the dark depths.

A must have for any true fan of the survival-exploration-crafting genre.
