Has a nasty habit of *regularly* locking up mid-game. Challenge foul call doesn't work 90% of the time.

These issues and 2K's legendary glacial pace at fixing bugs means I can't recommend this game in the slightest.

No story element for MyCareer this year (never mentioned it was being skipped). Top it all off, the 2KTV segments before each game are gleefully bragging about how wonderful the story element in MyCareer is... for the next gen version.

My head hurts and I'm obviously sooo not up to the task but I'm liking it!

The game invites you to do a whole bunch ...well, a whole building's-worth of simple inbox->outbox sorting puzzles with just a handful of basic commands at your disposal - copying numbers & letters hither and thither, adding, subtracting, and comparing to your heart's content.

You get to drag-and-drop the commands into a tower of code, strangle it with a spaghetti tangle of jumps and then watch it fail miserably on execture in the most 20-20 hindsight way possible, your little office worker running around sticking those numbers and letters where you definitely didn't mean them to be stuck. There's the extra challenges of refining your code to the smallest overall size or fewest steps to complete but yeah, they're mostly beyond me too.

Thankfully, it starts slow, drip-feeding a new command every few puzzles or so. It's a head-scratcher for me, to be sure but the game rides that wonderful balance between you knowing exactly what it is you have to do and you managing to weave your solution from the commands and floor space on hand.

It's cleanly presented but with that lovely Tomorrow Corporation artstyle and vibe. If you're a regular little brainbox with a passion for logic, you'll probably love this game.

You find yourself slogging away to stay productive and grind for progression before soon realising you're not really having that much fun in doing so. The interface, which is barely adequate for a small operation, becomes a massive chore when it comes to managing your growing 'empire'.

Apart from changes in quotas, the occassional research upgrade and managing staff rotation, there's really not much to keep you entertained while making sure things tick over as smoothly as you're able. The game is just too under-nourished.

Fairly entertaining bit of over-the-top zombie splattering fun. Reminds me a little of playing Into the Eagle's Nest waaaay back (but with fewer Nazi soldiers, obviously).

It does contain a number of cheesy Max Payne-esque interludes where it tries to get a little noir and promptly disappears up its own backside but other than that, you'll be mostly dishing out lead first come, first served. The main campaign is a little short, mind, even if you're trying to explore every corner of the map.

Unless you've got an insatiable craving for a sports car with machine guns and an EMP, this DLC will seriously underwhelm. You'll have the few driving-related missions finished within half-an-hour.

Unless you're given it free or getting it for a *massive* discount, don't bother. It amounts to a handful of melee fights and ten statues to locate. You'll spend more time running down paths on the island than you will on the rest of the content. A missed opportunity that could have been expanded into something quiet interesting or left as a very short side-quest as part of the main game.

With healing/resilience that'd turn Wolverine green with envy, Lara becomes the punching bag for a whole island in an *almost* perfect Tomb Raider outing.

If the emphasis had been more towards tombs than awful QTEs and on-rail sections, this would probably be one of my favourite recent games. Unfortunately there's too little of the old school Tomb Raider puzzling to be done. Even the welcome optional tombs are far too short, being little less than optional 'rooms'.

A plodding RPG that'd be quite good if it wasn't for it's shocking back-and-forth slow pace and a phobia to 'lewt'. The open-world nature of the island you're ship-wrecked on does lend itself to bouts of exploration and it's easy to disappear off the beaten track when something sparks your curiosity. A mountain of side-quests and above average combat will take your mind off the shallow crafting system and keep you busy but careful who you align with - annoyingly, your class/skills can be affected by the path you choose.

A surprisingly solid 3D RPG that taps all the usual fantasy tropes (wizards, dragons, fighters/mages/rangers, bandits, goblins, backwards villagers with west country accents) that just about manages to keep the fetch/kill quests fresh by chucking in a bunch of new gameplay mechanics about half-way through the game.

The Developer's Cut is an amalgamation of the original game (Ego Draconis), the expansion (Flames of Vengeance) and some random fluff (design docs, concept art and dev's console for 'cheating'). Pick it up if it's on sale.
