Great game to kick back and relax while doing typical pirate assassin things like petting cats and sinking enough ships to make woodcutters rich. Nothing captivating about the story and leaves a lot be desired in that department. A lot of emotional beats are missed because they were never truly developed in the first place. The story is still passable minus the missions outside the animus. But they really did nail the game play outside of numerous boring tailing missions. Ship combat doesn't get old imo and sailing while listening to shanties is always a good time. You can tell towards the butt end of the game that they really wanted you to buy the time savers with how much of a grind elite upgrades are, but realistically they are unnecessary. Overall its a 7/10 (very good) more than worth $5 or so on sale.

After playing the demo for a few hours, doing two solo runs and a co op run in EA. I can say this game still needs a bit of work on performance and QOL. But the gameplay itself is fast, fun, and engaging. I believe theres a lot of potential here for Windblown to stand on its own while making a name for itself outside of being a Deadcells alternative.

Ignore negative reviews unrelated to core PvP gameplay. Its very fun. Though flashpoint is awful... leave that game mode as soon as you see it...

Best deckbuilder in existence. Best roguelike in existence. Every hour of play you learn more about the game through success or failure and in return the game rewards your skill/knowledge. Every character is fun and interesting with multiple viable strategies. Which in turn makes every run either excruciatingly painful as you buy time till inevitable death OR you absolutely pop off and steamroll everything in your way. I really wish I could get a dollar for every awful deck I brute forced till the very end. As of now I beat the secret final boss with every character and am working up ascension levels on iron chad. I don't see myself stopping anytime soon. 10/10

Amazing game. Act 3 got some doo doo stinky, but nothing lots of flushing can't fix.

crash crash crash. bug bug bug. Joined match in progress and your team is getting rolled. I don't care about the issues because I hate myself and don't value my time. Gunplay is great. Guns feel great after getting good attachments. Maps are awful, but since when were they ever "good". Its Ghostin time 10/10.

It is like a father watching his 23 year old son with no ambition, no willpower, and no spirit continue to disappoint, fail, and do nothing with his life. Hope 343 and Microsoft are happy with turning a goliath of a franchise into a shivering chihuahua. Goodbye Halo.
