Not fun, no progressive building decisions that feel rewarding (you don't even get to make a choice), no in-combat decisions that feel rewarding! A fundamentally flawed roguelike centered around ""time management"" yet it also doesn't even matter? Through the run you just kill monsters, press E a lot and just hope that you get the items you want i guess! Capped off with a ridiculously bloated stage 6 including a boss that does NOT feel like it even belongs in this game, Risk of Rain 2 captures everything that i hate about modern video games. Not to mention the egregious visual clarity of this game oh my GOD. Verdant falls is too low contrast, sundered grove is too dark! The teleporter is almost impossible to find sometimes if you're not experienced with the maps yet! And all the particles and just how much enemies there are leads to many deaths where it doesn't feel fair.

Alongside the buggy movement and the many, MANY down time where you just don't do ANYTHING like waiting for the teleporter and walking 200 miles to get to Mithrix while fighting tanky bullet sponge Lunar Chimeras. The movement doesn't even feel great despite all the momentum bugs, it feels heavy and doesn't feel smooth. "Dodging" includes just... jumping? Haven't even mentioned how much of a GRIND to just get unlocks; Acrid and the Void Fields is NOT FUN (9 teleporter events? so bloated no?); some of the challenges are ridiculously hard too (no-hit prismatic trial on MERCENARY?) All these makes this game just a HUGE waste of your time apart from the cute + unique world and character designs.

Good for people who have too much time, horrendous for people who appreciate theirs.

Not much more than a cute roblox tycoon game. Decent 8 hours spent... I recommend Forager if you're looking for a more interesting game with more content...
