Epic game. Epic devs. Devs should get more money on Epic games. F*** steam for being so greedy and lagging behind in feature sets and Dev compensation.

REVIEW 7 (April 2022)
Hackers in almost every game. I am constantly getting confirmation messages that they have TEMPORARILY banned someone for cheating. What a joke. Free to play was the most stupid move they could have made. Please have your entire board replaced by people who can make competent decisions.

Review 7 Update:
I have now gotten the same player banned for cheating 5 times. Krafton is so incompetent that they let cheaters start playing just 48hrs after a ban. The player base is so small I keep running into the same hackers and report them, then 1-2 days later get the temporary ban on their account notification.

THIS GAME IS A JOKE.

REVIEW 6 (March 2022)
Why would you add the spotter to the game? It feels like this was added to help hide the hacker problem and/or to level the playing field with them since the game went free to play and has millions of accounts to ban each MONTH. Hacking is still a problem. The new additions of in-game features, QOL, and map TLC is really nice, but its not enough for me to recommend the game.

REVIEW 5 (fix pubg)
Fix PUBG was a good start. Still loads of issues with latency, but at least hacking is at an all time low. Unfortuantely PUBG Mobile seems to be doing better. MOBILE!?

REVIEW 4 (Metal Rain Event)
10 out of 10 matches were plagued with hackers. Auto Firing SKS'ers all getting headshots. Single players wiping half the server. PUBG Corp needs to learn how to activily monitor suspicious behavior in-game and ban in-game. But hey, at least they can ban streamers who play with hackers because the proof is so blatant its hard to miss.

REVIEW 3 ( a few months later)
At nearly 900 hours now. Sanhok battle pass is a total trash attempt. Fortnite make's the PUBG developers look they have no idea what they are doing. "Trial Items" are super lame and the value of the pass seems super low compared to Fortnite's battle pass. I hate fortnite, but at least they aren't incompetent with their attempts. Nearly impossible to finish the Sanhok pass. Some of the items are out right painful to do and EXTREMELY time consuming. It feels like this was designed to get you to buy the battle pass and pressure you into buying leveling so they can maximize revenue. To top it off I got killed by flying cars. This isn't Harry Potter.

REVIEW 2 (post release)
I am in the top 0.20% (0.12% at best) for Squad TP with over 600 hours. 90% of games lately have had a Chinese hacker/cheater in them. It is extremely irritating to have to change my play style to hide all the time to avoid cheaters who auto-aim, shoot through terrain, no-recoil, speed hack, rez/heal hack, and freaking teleport.

I use to love this game, but now its a totally crappy experience. China needs its own servers. Pre-China release, cheating was rare. Maybe 10% of games had a cheater. Region locking China would cut down on the cheating, but it doesn't solve the problem. PUBG Corp needs to actively ban cheaters in-game. If cheating wasn't a reason to region lock china, the insane amount of ping/latency is a good enough reason. Positional updates can be extremely laggy for chinese plays, so dead-on shots are 2ft + behind them. Extremely irritating.

REVIEW 1 (pre beta)
Great Game. A bit Buggy. The skyrim of the FPS genre.

Too many people crying they have to pay for aesthetics.

DISCLAIMER: THIS IS SOLELY BASED ON DARK SOULS 3. Prob great for other games! This review is based on 60hrs playing DS3 w/ the steam controller.

I really wanted to love this controller, but I have had so many problems with it while playing Dark Souls III. Normally I wouldn't list cons for hardware with a game, but Dark Souls III offered the controller bundle and advertised its use since DS games are well known for requiring a controller.

PROS:
Cool button placement on grips
Awesome typing
Good materials
Cool battery slots
Battery lasts forever
Awesome usb cable/dongle combo/charger
Didn't break when I smashed into the table several times because of the cons

CONS:
When loading or in other item menus for DS3, the cursor (right touch pad) would go to my other monitors resulting in me killing myself many times (run in circles or off ledges).
Using the right touch pad to target is a nightmare. You often end up removing/changing weapons, changing items, etc. Your thumb has to be in the center of the right D touchpad/stick in order to target. My thumb doesn't naturally rest or move to the center of the pad.
Several Days into playing DS3, an official DS3 controller mapping was released which became the default instead of my own without informing me.
DS3 would not launch into a controller compatible mode unless launched from big picture (forgot this so many times - kill task, big picture, relaunch DS3).
While Playing the game, occasionally the controller would go off the screen and come back, but only be partially functional. The right d-pad didn't work properly at all and the controller would have limited functionality such as not being able to go into the big screen steam menu with the steam button. Sometimes I would have to minimize/maximize several times to get the game to work.

Bottom Line:
For me, not a good controller for playing Dark Souls III. I will have to try out some Rocket League soon™!

Edit 4/29/16:
I did use the community recommended button layout, but still had some issues (may be a firmware issue w/ particular controller).
Tried a 360 controller and had zero issues.
