A classic example of a great game that aged poorly. Second only to XCOM in turn-based tactics in 1994, Jagged Alliance's vague interface, cheap difficulty and generally archaic nature make it a far clunkier experience today. Despite its faults, the cast of lovable characters and its blend of tactical, role-playing, and strategic elements still make for a charming and addictive package today, albeit one that requires pain tolerance and reading the manual to enjoy. Jagged Alliance 2 is a better game in every aspect, but the original shouldn't be ignored if you're willing to put up with its worst parts.
