Its so 7/10, it becomes an 8/10! Jokes aside, lots of good stuff here, if you're a sonic fan you'll enjoy it, if you like 3d platforming you'll probably find something to like. The writing is a big win for the franchise. Excited to see what they do from here.

If you enjoyed The Witness, you must play this. It is an absolute love letter to the game, the sort of criticism and parody that can only come from true appreciation of the original.

If you have ever played an idle game and said "man I wish I could program my decisions ahead of time in javascript" then you're a very strange person.

That said, this is the game for you, so maybe you're not that strange.

If you're willing to take external notes-- like, take out pen and paper and write down things to reference later-- then I can recommend no game as highly. This is adorable, wonderful, challenging, mind-twisting, and will make you reconsider what you know about video games. I wish you the joy of it.

It's Supergiant at its best. There's not much else to say, but so much to enjoy.

If this doesn't get GotY, it's a travesty.

It is very short, but they tell you that going in. For the low price of 1$, it's an alright value, the writing is good, the characters are interesting, but this is clearly meant to be a side-show to the main attraction of Hiveswap itself. In light of the fact that it's literally what it advertised itself as, yeah, thats fair.

To elaborate on the shortness: at the time of this writing, there are two characters, and they each have a total of three routes: two of which are "full" routes, one of which is just a joke. The routes themselves aren't terribly long either. Let me put it this way; the background music doesn't really change for either character throughout the route, and it doesn't wear out its welcome. It's good music, and well looped (if it's looped, it seemed terribly appropriate at times which implied it might be at least somewhat timed), so that does it a lot of favors.

It's rated M for blood and gore. I feel confident in saying that they didn't shy away from the rating, and that's to its benefit.

In short, all of its problems are literally there on the tin, and you know them going in. If you are literally slavering at the bit for more information on Alternian culture and troll things in general, you're gonna have a good time. If you just really like Andrew Hussie's writing, you're gonna have a good time. If you hate Andrew Hussie's writing, why are you on this page in the first place?

I for one am excitedly awaiting the dlc, and do hope that they get a bit longer as they go on.

This game is an absolute must-play for anyone who's a fan of the stealth genre. It should be telling that my only complaint going through the game was that there was too much of it: 100 levels in the main storyline meant that pursuing the expertly written plot took a bit longer at times than I'd have liked. In the end, the wait was worth it.

You're gonna love Alan. You know Alan! Your best buddy, Alan! Yeah, that guy. You're gonna love him.
