This is how you do remakes. This is the same game from 2002, now we have modern graphics, stunning art direction, and much-needed tweaks and balances to the gameplay that don't change the core of the game, but address some of the flaws of the original.

It's feels like the old game, and at the same time like a new dimension was added to it.

Added a whole 6 minutes of new content that is slightly different than what we had before. If there ever was a better example of a useless DLC for a game that seriously needs fundamental improvements to its core gameplay.

The good:
- Support for MIDI keyboards.
The Bad:
- I don't know, I'm not about to be locked to a monthly subscription only to figure out if the game is good or not.
- I'm not going to pay a monthly subscription for what is for me a casual game at best.
- I paid for Rocksmith and several DLCs. Ubisoft really like to add salt to the wound by violating my property rights.

Do not. It is not eve worth the tutorial.

It's a good game, let's get this out of the way. That's not to say that I disagree with the negetive reviews eithier. I think that as far as gameplay goes, the game is really fun and is doing many interesting ideas, and I think that most of them works.

On the same note, this is clearly a smaller project then the asking price, and it lacks polish, especially in the art department. And as a game developer myselft, I can tell that it is a art direction isseu, and not just an issue with budget. 4x games, especially one like Millenia with so many content, have the challange that they need a lot of assets, and looking at the Wiki you can see that there is indeed a lot of units, buildings and whats not in this game. That puts a lot of pressure on the art department, and when you don't have the budget to hire a fleet of artists, you usully opt to find an art direction that is more easy to work with. That on itself is nothing new, and many indie games deals with this issue. But the solution is usually to go with a stylialistic approch, or optiong to full 2D (which I think would had suited the game better). Instead they had tried to go with a retro look that just feels off.

But despite all that, I'm having a lot of fun with the game, and as far as game design is concerend, I think that they did a lot of things right. So I would still recommend the game, but get it on a discount or at a reseller, since it is an indie game and Paradox should price it appropriatly.

Any compression to Valheim made by other reviews is shallow at best. Yes, like many games out there it took some systems that works in Valheim, such as how food and resting works. And both use a souls-like combat. But there is ONE thing that Enshrouded dose 500% better then any survival game I had played - exploration.

Do not be fooled. This game is less of a survival game, and more of a proper souls-like RPG where you get to build the hub area yourself. It is not a game about cutting woods, but about fighting mushroom zombies, and then cutting mushroom wood.
Highly recommended.

The most Bethesda game ever made. It is really good at times, and really bad at others. For me, the faction quests and just exploring is where the game is at its best.

The game has some technical issues, but it still fun. It's feel like a faster paced company of heroes 1.

This is a slower and more tactical take on old school FPS. And I love it. I played it on hard,and I think this is how the game is supposed to be played. This is a power fantasy. You are going to run out of ammo, you are going to be easily killed, even you move around. But you got loads of dynamites, you can shoot lanterns to spread fire (the most powerful weapon), headshots are deadly and can slow down time (making it easy to hit more headshots) and you are faster then any enemy.

So the game is about positioning, and making sure every shot counts, and using your enviorment to even the odds. This game is not about playing as a badass, but thinking as one.

Also, amazing enviormental story telling. Don't skip the text logs.
