Well, I'm a U.S. Navy Veteran that served between 1997-2005. During that time, I was a Radioman (now called "Information Systems Technicians").

Now, I build and maintain a rather decent-sized computer network using x86, x64, SPARC, and Power5+ platforms and running FreeBSD and Gentoo/Ubuntu Linux.

As for my nickname, I've had it for 25 years. It started when I first hopped onboard IRC Chat (remember Microsoft Chat, pIRCh98, and mIRC?). It stuck with me throughout my naval career and to this day. I'm also a new furry (well, kinda).
