Not quite what I expected when I purchased the game, but it's good for what it is within the scope of the game. Would still like to see an expanded map or map variations!

This is such an enjoyable little game, I really enjoyed the experience. The ending surprised me, in a good way!

Two (perhaps three) moments in this game brought me to tears.

Early Access Review
The game is absolutely gorgeous so far and I love the peaceful atmosphere. The devs are doing a great job considering this is EARLY ACCESS and it's been in production for two years! I really look forward to watching it develop from here on out.

Portal Stories: Mel is a love letter to the Portal series.

It's beautiful, it's heartwrenching, and you can just feel the devotion that each and every member of the development team has put into it. All of the lovely new environments are furnished with graphics that beautifully match the spirit of the games, and the music itself is absolutely wonderful.

Most of all, though, the relationship between Mel (the player character) and Virgil (the personality core) really shows this. Unlike the other betrayals of the series, these two work together with real purpose. They have one another's back, and it honestly feels nice to play a game where you know you can actually trust one of the robots. This is what makes the ending so much more emotional and powerful, and I cannot recommend this game enough.

Dev team: you've done an outstanding job, and your hard work and love that you poured into this project is so tangible. Excellent job, and the best of luck in your future games!

This game really caught me by surprise. Even though I'd played the first Shelter and loved it, this game really stepped it up with the emotions I felt while playing. I felt such genuine concern and love and tons of maternal feelings for my four cubs, and it broke my heart that only one of them made it to adulthood.

Still, it's an absolutely wonderful and emotional game.

This is a LOT of fun to play with a group of friends! The user interface is a bit difficult to get used to, but it's still quite enjoyable!
