The idea of the game is there, but that is about it. I foresee this game adding a lot of DLC down the road that mirrors that of EU4 policies. I don't have that big of an issue with DLC, but they often charge for things that should have been on the game from the start. Sometimes PDX gets it right, other times not so much. I encourage long time PDX players to wait on getting this particular title until it is more fleshed out. FPS and stuttering issues aside, the game has very little bugs which is a good thing, but that's about the only good thing I can talk about.

EDIT: I did refund the game and was approved for the refund. I'd recommend those that have purchased and are unsatisfied to do the same.

I'll be honest, I was looking forward to the 2.2 Update. And then I played it. Dear God please fix the bugs, the severe lag at anthing past speed 3, and the terrible inability to move pops where they are needed, especially if oyu have certain pops that work better in certain fields.

Quite possibly one of the best Total War games ever released. It hasn't aged too terribly well, but it always dserves a few playthroughs for an Total War fan. Ignore the "nay-sayers" that are trolling the review accounts.

There are many problems with this game. First and foremost is that fact that the game does not feel like a proper park simulator. It's like a "place some tiles, input some dinos." The people and workers on your island aren't even really there, they have no personality, you can't interact with any of them as you could in Planet Coaster, made by the same people. There is a SERIOUS lack of immersion, especially with music. If a dinosaur escapes, there is no music, no drama, and it doesn't really matter if it east people because you feel no attachment to the people at all. Graphically, the game looks great for being a park simulator, but that's it. The rest of the game is just empty. The fact the gamereequires you to spend many hours just to get to the point of realization that its an empty dinosaur shell of what it could be is insulting to anyone who purchased/purchases the game.

All in all, if you want a relaxing game with some dinos, this may be the game for you. However if you want custimization, park management, and other immersive categories, skip this game. Score: 5/10

While the unique storylines for the 5 main factions are great and thought out quite well, the DLC itself doesn't really introduce anything too new that we haven't seen from mods, free content, or Total War: Attila. There is a lot of content imported from Attila for this game, which creates an odd mix of Rome 2 and Attila-like graphics. While I applaud the new developers for taking on such a task for Creative Assembly, I do not agree with CA's pricing for this reimaged content, while it is nothing more than story pack with slight graphical UI changes. No previous bugs have been fixed along with this new DLC, so why bother paying for content that continues to disappoint at every turn?

Early Access Review
Probably one of the best and most fun Real-time strategy games I have ever played. It does have a few little glitches here and there, but it feels like a complete game and that is a huge bonus for a game in Steam EA. Most of the community is very friendly and wants to help you succeed. Why? Because if you succeed, they succeed. Teamwork is a MUST in this game. Be careful though, as you can easily spend 10 hours of your life playing this game before you even realize 10 hours have past.

While the $40 pricetag for this game is a bit high, you can easily spend 100 hourrs or more playing this game -- especialyl with full groups of active talkers. The in-game voice is perfect for this type of game, allowing you to taunt Jason (or the counselors) as well as use valuable teamwork to escape. A lot of people compare this game to Dead by Daylight, however even with the similarities, I would say this game has much more content and is a lot harder to achieve victory.

If you don't like teamwork, this game is probably not for you.

On a side note, yes there are bugs in this game, it isn't perfect. Like most games the developers are working hard to iron out the wrinkles. But this game is still heaps of fun for those looking to really RP your survival...or betrayal.

EARLY ACCESS REVIEW

Post-server issues and game crashing bugs, for the most part the early access game is a solid build. There is plenty to do in the servers whether or not you prefer PvE or PvP type servers. The best types if I have seen thus far are the Roleplaying servers. The ability to be a slave trader, armorer/blacksmith, potion maker, etc - and the dynamics of getting into trouble for stealing or worshipping the wrong diety.

There are some serious faults to the game that I am sure will be solved before the official release. The team at FunCom are doing their best to work with the community to solves these issues. If you have already purchased the game and have had trouble, I'd recommend giving the game another try. Most connectivity issues and server issues have been resolved.

POST RELEASE REVIEW

I find my time in the game to always be thouroughly enjoyable. There are many times I find myself taken in by the landscape and the hard work that must have gone inot make the world we can explore in Conan Exiles. There is room for expansion, but righ tnow it is the most solid I've seen the game.

I think what would finally push the game over the top is rideable pets instead of pets that just follow you around. It is the only thing really keeping this game behind other current survivals like ARK. The developers may have other tricks up their sleaves for us in the future, but for now it is STILL worth the buy.

I went into this game thinking it would be more like a typical RTS. While it does maintain those type of aspects, there is no base building. You base is mobile, just like it was in Homeworld 1 and 2. This game, however, brings about the unique idea of having technology that can be added to your carrier to increases its capabilities. You have to find the tech fast, because it can be lost! I've only played for ~5 hours but I love the art and graphics in this game. Even the story telling hooks you! I would definitely recommend purchasing and beating this game!
