Got one-shot by enemy turret on third planet of campaign. Technically this one-shot didn't kill me, took some of my ships engines, but thanks to how drones control works, it effectively immobilized my drone and left me to die. Moved to other planet, got oneshot by other enemy there. Moved to other planet, only upon killing the enemy I've learned that its explosion clears screen on death. This killed me. Started visiting planets to find yellow resource for more ships. Resources don't respawn so I was forced to try mining on planets with hostiles. While retrying mining operations on planets I've died few more times, elevated my treat level, ran out of red resource needed for motership repairs. Died. Game deleted savegame. "Fun", but RNGod may have more mercy for you.

Tried sandbox mode. Hoped for campaign with more health on mothership so disabled all helpers. Still received 21321321 perks and parts for start. And first planet in the universe is treasure trove devoid of any enemies. So game is either frustratingly difficult or boringly easy depending on which mode you'll use.

I hate to say it because devs are obviously passionate about the game, but its been a long time when I've been pissed off by a game so much. :(

I really want to love new Carmageddon. After updates it runs smooth as butter and initial chapters of game are really fun... but the damage physics, THE DAMAGE PHYSICS. I don't know which update did it, but these days "Classic carma" vs AI is just barely playable due to how hopelessly nerfed player's car is. Unless you are lucky with stuff moving in environment, mines or powerups, it takes AGES to of chasing and ramming to destroy CPU car and most of the time you'll be doing no damage at all.

In meantime YOUR car will have toughtness of cardboard box, falling apart when CPU as much as breaths on it, being constantly wrecked by random bumps and sinking into hundreds of thousands on repair bill, failing event after event feeling no progress from hauling against more and more punishing and unrewarding play.
