it's a great game with interesting enough worlds to make collecting everything a fun option. the story is sweet, the graphics are unusually great and the performance is wonderful.

the gameplay is very unique - i can see many people being put off of it at first because you're rolling a box that doesn't stop on command so your jumps and movements can be infuriating. the game caters to this and once you get used to it, the game becomes a lot more fun: unboxing gives you incredible jumping powers that let you explore the world freely.

the story missions mainly consist of the same things done slightly differently but it's still relatively fun because of the totally different landscapes they reside in.

It's undoubtedly a kids game but you can still learn to love the artstyle and gameplay as an adult.

Early Access Review
Surprisingly stable and lightweight at a 5GB download but somehow still highly detailed on an incredibly large island full of lots of details, effects and caves. Immersion and needs are very successful in this game which is often very hard to do. Building villages or major buildings can become quickly tedious even with things like log sleds and friends and it does suffer from slow/minor updates just like most other early access games. Still, I'd recommend the game even if it was never updated again.

incredible game riddled with nostalgia and humourous twists and references to other popular game whether it's a mechanic, a phrase or even them actually being in a game as a character. theres an incredible amount of mechanics such as bomberman, scrolling shooters, fighting games, stealth and even guitar hero. the parts of the game that use these mechanics are relatively small and fairly easy to complete yet some of them can test your skills further with optional expert versions.

i thoroughly enjoyed the story too: i'm not one for stories based on time because a lot of them use really greasy cop outs and even get confused within themselves but evoland 2 is one of the few that do it right (although the ending was very bittersweet). the power to travel to past, present and the future aided with maps in different art styles and with minor differences really works and makes the game feel three times as big, which is pretty hard to do when youre using the same map 3 times.

the mechanics of this game tells us the tale about older real games, some of which are forgotten and lets you live those moments again. Whether you've played a different array of games in the past, or if you're just getting started, this game is for you.

it's a puzzle game about the mystery of a witch who has supposedly taken control of the crystals and attacked humans causing them to fled the floating temple and you have to stop her and unravel the mystery.

It's obviously a kid's game but it's fun none the less. Combat was surprisingly a little more creative and difficult than i thought despite the limited variety of enemies and attacks and the boss was pretty fun. Would recommend if you're into casually solving puzzles and don't want a large game to invest a lot of time in.

I never got to play the original because the sound didn't work on my PC. Thanks to the remastered version i finally got to play what I think is one of the best games of all time.

There was a few bugs like electric around one of the Vita-chambers was just red squares, it crashed maybe twice through my 16 hour playthrough and reset all my options to default upon starting up. I forgot to take a picture of Sohen dead in his apartment for an achievement so I went back but the body wasn't there, so I decided to take a picture of where I thought I killed him and surprisingly, achieve get. The challenges were pretty interesting too, requiring you not to use any weapons or throw you in a stadium, etc.

To sum up, it works pretty well, certainly better than the original. There's a few bugs but none of them ruined the game for me whatsoever.

Great game to casually do while you're doing something else. Some of the puzzles have multiple answers and only one of them is right which can get a little frustrating, but using your judgement on the picture and finding the other solutions can be pretty fun.

Great game. Don't agree with paid DLC for an unfinished game though, I hope it doesn't set a precedent for other games.

the first 20% of the game was boring and i'm not entirely sure why. Maybe it was the lack of plot and development, uninteresting enemies, levels, etc. The first titan boss was interesting but pretty boring; you had to do the exact same thing and the only threat was failing to hold RT in time (and it gives you a lot of time).

After the second titan boss was when the game got pretty interesting - there was a lot of cool story development and creative/intimidating enemies with a variety of moves and weak points, it's almost like a completely different game.

The game as a whole is like DmC: satisfying combat and a straight forward path , but it feels different enough that people wont really compare the two.

Also if you suck at counting to four then don't worry - Claudia in chapter two has you covered.

there's a few interesting features like jump pads and requiring oxygen, but i certainly can't recommend it at this price atleast. The characters are fairly uninteresting (except for claptrap and jack purely because of the other games), the enemies aren't nearly as amusing as on the other games and the level design is odd and sometimes infuriating.

Still, if you can get this game really cheap I'd recommend it. The spacey atmosphere is quite beautiful and the combat is very similar to the other games, just don't expect an outstanding storyline.

this game has amazing aspects and terrible ones. Unfortunately, a lot of the main gameplay is fairly uninteresting: basically the whole story is a closed off path and the comboes are quite boring and repetitive and lacks the satisfaction that combat in, for example, DmC does so well.

It's not terrible; the scenery and graphics are quite pleasent and they put a lot of time and effort into making some of the bosses interesting and unique, remixing memories is also quite fun, albeit quite fiddly. also the concept is very intriguing but the whole game could have been executed so much better. I would recommend this game on offer but don't expect dazzling gameplay.
