brilliant game with tonnes of replay-ability. They recently released a DLC that answers basically all of the questions that were left intentionally ambiguous in the base game which was super satisfying, but it also came with a bunch of nerfs that made the game more grindy. I guess you can't have it all.

i can't believe how terrible they did with this sequel. 99% of characters are basically unlikeable and if you do like them, they will have some breakdown or attitude issue that immediately puts you off them. The story is very hard to get into because you don't care about anyone and NONE OF YOUR CHOICES MATTER. The best you get with alternative choices are a couple of different lines of dialogue. Even the choice of who to side with is awful, because you're constantly reminded that the PK are evil by everyone and they continue to do evil stuff with or without you.

The combat and the parkour is the only saving grace in this game. It's a jankier version of Dying Light, but it's still possible to get some fun out of it.

The GRE Dungeons are all the same too, so if you remember the layout of one then guess what? you're all set for the rest.

One of the biggest screw ups has to be the sneak. You can tell they tried hard with it, but there's just no point in using it at all. Getting into combat with a bunch of sleepers is so much easier than sneaking by them, especially if they are a higher level than you, because takedowns don't work on them and they get a counter attack on you for free.

Boss fights were a complete joke. I played this with a friend and all he did was jump kick them, because it basically stun locked them forever and if it didn't, the boss would be launched into some object and take an incredible amount of damage, sometimes even instantly killing them.

I wont spoil too much, but the worst part was definitely the end. The final boss fight was against something that just kept running away no matter what despite wanting to kill us. The beginning of the end actually made it feel like it could have been good, and the revelations about Aiden's childhood and the antagonist were great, but it was ruined by horrible acting, an awful boss fight.

I'm glad I made the choice to nuke the city to oblivion to save the rest of the world from that ****hole. You're welcome.

Early Access Review
great game. I played this on release and just before the v1.0 release and thoroughly enjoyed it both times. It's structured in a way that you can either bee line to bosses or spend ages surviving and exploring, so even if you hate open world survivals, there's still a good chance you will enjoy it.

there's so many different abilities and methods to choose from to play the game. the only thing better than the freedom and potential in each randomly generated map(?) is the flow of combat/movement and the feedback you get from murder, explosions and shattering walls, etc. Too good for the price.

good as a little game but can get very repetitive - leveling up awesomenauts is unbelievably grindy, do not try this game if you care about achievements

Amazing game - pretty creepy, not that scary and very imaginative.

I'm not one for point and click adventures, but something about this game was very addictive. The story and dialogue feel almost like it was written by a child which is probably the point considering the age of Fran, though it does cast doubt on the reality of the game.

It's an alright game; kind of like a 3+ first person shooter with interesting power-ups and counters such as grabbing the ball before it hits you (and other dodgeball rules). The customisation is quite nice too. Bots can be unbelievably hard though: they have very predictable movements, but they can shoot and aim so fast, especially around corners, so playing against them is tedious and that's probably why the game's story mode (arcade mode) has barely any completions on achievements. Would recommend against friends but definitely not against bots.
