The negitive reviews are whiny nancy boys who either-
A: can't man up to the grind.
B: can't get mommy's credit card to buy their way to a better tank.
C: can't stand whiny nancy boys that use mommy's credit card.
D: all of the above.

All are unfit for THIS MAN'S ARMY!.... and never would of make it in WWII.

It's now June 3d 2018.... and the "Stress Test" "Beta" can't be up more then 12 hours ( Jun 1 @ 10:59am - Jun 2 @ 7:00am ) without the Developers having take it down.

Conclusion:

What started as a simple stable standalone version of Arma2's DayZ Mod just became a drawn out process / testbed ( even in a "EA" time frame) primarily for the Enfusion Engine development that took over and overshadowed the original game idea...

Eventually... the game will be a "hardcore" "vanilla" game few people asked for, for some players.... and for others who want only the mods to the game, just another " DayZ Standalone's Battle Royale Mod " / " DayZ Standalone's King of the Hill / Kill Mod " / "DayZ Standalone's BATTLEGROUNDS Mod " as BI moves on to other games with the Enfusion Engine.

Bought and paid for by those who ~only~ wanted a stable version of the DayZ A2 Mod... and most of thoes people have moved on as only a few people stick around or even maybe come back.

So No, I don't recommend this "game".

Update:
After a 5 year absence.... it's time for another go at it...
( because friends play with friends even if they dislike the game )

Died from cold, died from disease, died from zombie, so it's still a death simulator.... Meh.
Basically... it's exactly everything I predicted it would be back in 2018, either a vanilla hardcore elemental death simulator or a moded "Battle royal" easy mode death match "shoot, die, respawn, repeat" where you only die of "lead poisoning". Bang! Bang! Pew! Pew!

But at least I'm having fun with friends ( I don't think I would continue solo )... that's the only saving grace that counts in this hate / like of this game that started out as a leader of games and now turned into a "Rust" copycat.

Free to play, gritty, well made, all out WWII action packed game! Love playing it, even better since it is free.... will see what happens when it goes pay to play....

Would definitely recommend this game!
