This is the best horror game I've played in years.
The fact that its OPEN WORLD means you never quite feel like you are "where you are supposed to be". In linear horror games no matter how scared you are you know in the back of your head "I was designed to be in this part of the game at this point. There is probably enough ammo and items around for me to deal with whatever I run into."
BUT, in this game you constantly wonder if you are in a place you shouldn't be yet. Wondering if you accidentally stumbled upon a place meant for later. Fearful that you spent ammo you shouldn't have on enemies you shouldn't be fighting. Plus its stealth gameplay is great to increase the tension and horror.

its amazing. By it now.

This is the most fun I've had in a game in the last 5 years.

Story/vibe:
The vibes are so thick in this game I think about it all the time and even dream about it. The dark greed dystopia setting is super thick and you can feel it in every tiny corner of the game. You will be fully immersed. The OST is also amazing.

The story is BY FAR the best FromSoft story I have ever experienced. Other souls like games are so confusing or subtle its hard to have an intense emotional reaction. Doesn't help you're literally just fighting zombies or monsters 99% of the time.
But in AC6 the main story is very straight forward and its easy to tell what's happening even if you don't read logs or item descriptions so when the big emotional things happen it hits Hard. While still having massive depth where if you do read logs and pay attention you realize all the mini-stories for all the minor characters in the game that are often emotional and interesting themselves. Not to mention even just killing the generic NPCs causes voice lines that immerse you in the story. From the start you realize "Oh right, I'm a ruthless merc killing actual people who some just want to survive and chill."

Playing as a ruthless merc was also just awesome. Instead of feeling bad it was like a huge weight was lifted off my shoulders and, unlike real life where it feels like everything is super polarized and has moral implications its nice to just pretend your a heartless merc who doesn't care about anything and is fine rampaging around for money BUT by the end of the game you do have several very emotional choices you can make which adds a lot of weight to the story. You also get very attached to the named characters after awhile, many of whom have really good stories. I got so attached to one character I feel extremely sad thinking about them, a rare feat for any fiction, to the point that I have to cope with head cannon to ease the pain.

Gameplay:
The gameplay is super unique and you don't need insane reflexes or anything to play. Anyone complaining that its too hard just doesn't understand the systems. You can play through the entire game only thinking about strategy, finding builds and strategies that make a scenario easy, so the game will require no reflexes, OR you can build light weight builds that require a lot of skill to win with. There are youtube videos of people beating all the bosses of the game without moving for example as well as people playing light weight builds and never getting hit. The fusion of both strategy and skill is extremely rare in games and is amazing. It also adds a ton to the replay value, playing the same mission again with different builds can totally change the experience.

The pvp is also very fun. It feels as deep as a fighting game, but way easier than most fighting games to get into.

I just don't understand why the reviews for this game are good.
The gameplay is absolute ass.
Its just enemies swarming you, and you swinging your arms like an idiot while holding forward on the joystick so you do more damage cause you're running into enemies.
Its like their solution to "Fighting our enemies is boring. I KNOW just fight several of them at once that will suddenly make it more fun!"
The weapons slowly track your movements too so its impossible to do anything actually accurate like stab with a spear.
Its just a sword and sorcery clone which is a game that isn't fun anyway and is just gimmicky "omg physics" ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

Its a 4x game but with an emphasis on combat. Now I actually HATE the combat in every 4x game I've played so I didn't think I would like this one. But it works! Every other 4x has really ass combat IMO. But this one its kinda like chess/fire emblem and its really really fun. The building/research system is pretty simple but still has enough decision making. Very easy to learn but every decision still feels like it matters a ton with many options.

The factions have their unique mechanics and are really fun with 40k's cool lore behind them.
They also each have alternate win cons that fits their lore and are really fun.

Combat is a bit too repetitive and simple. Its hard but simple, not much creativity. Aesthetic is good.

I love this game.
The aesthetic and world just gets better and better. And the story is memorable and awesome.
Gameplay is good enough to keep you engaged throughout the run time.

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Susumu Hirasawa soundtrack use makes it 11/10 (island door lets gooo). I thought I was the only one who even knew that song existed let alone loved it enough to put it in a game.

Its cool. Basically as advertised. Waiting for early access to finish before diving into more hours.
There is a lot replayability with the different playstyles.

This is the best VR game. Pretty much the only one that will get me to hook up the damn VR set to play.
And its the best workout especially at higher difficulties with 1x mass multiplier. More cardio than running and my arms are more sore than from rock climbing. Plus it'll make your punches MUCH stronger especially if you don't do real boxing,
