I will update this review when I can actually play the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game because for some incomprehensible reason I cannot play a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ singleplayer campaign mission. It just says "requesting local server" and then waits 5 minutes before telling me to go ♥♥♥♥ myself. ♥♥♥♥ always online ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, not only does it mean games will become unplayable years after release, but also AT release. Absolutely unacceptable.

I do not give a ♥♥♥♥ that this is apparently a "temporary" problem and the devs are working to make an offline mode. How about you delay the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game before you release an unplayable product and torpedo the momentum of your launch. Publishers are so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ stupid for some reason. Avoid this game until it's not a $45 loading screen.

Rushed release date to profit off of Tarkov's self detonation. Fantastic idea and has the potential to become one of the best milsim games (or even platforms if they play their cards right) of the modern era, but just wayyy too early.

They had all of 2024 to make this game presentable and still be on time, and with everyone who played it saying that it needs more time in the oven, it is honestly shocking they just said ♥♥♥♥ it and released an alpha build that creators were testing on. Especially with such a random "yeah it comes out tomorrow btw." Not a very good move with a game that has so much hype behind it, and it's a big waste of all the goodwill industry plant Riloe has been drumming up for the devs.

Basic QOL features are missing, no toggle sprint, no toggle aim, no toggle lean (the lean is wayyy too slow btw), and you can't even strafe while sprinting. I thought shooters stopped doing that after bad company 2 lol.

The features in the game are cool but half baked and not fleshed out, the medical system being closer to an ARMA KAT system is nice in theory, but the execution has you putting a 5x use CAT TQ (?) on your limb multiple times (??) and still not stopping the bleed (???). The coma system is really good though, Tarkov could learn a thing or two from that.

AI is braindead and can take multiple rounds to the head sometimes, sound is iffy, and you're forced to do the dumb COD tac sprint with no speed modulation. Again, the base concept is really cool and the social aspect of it is surprisingly nice, but it's got a long way before it can claim to be a milsim the likes of Arma.

Bottom line is that the content in here is worth $35 if you have it and this type of game appeals to you, but it can be better spent elsewhere. The decision to rush the release date was dumb and short-sighted, but hopefully the cash injection + instant feedback can benefit the game faster than the playerbase dies off. I bought the supporter edition because I really do want to see this game succeed, but MFG is gonna need to learn a lot and fix a lot before we get to that point. Good luck.

Incredibly fun game, very well thought out mechanics, insanely cinematic. Many people are whining about the fact that the servers are full and pretty hard to get into, but these nerds need to realise you can't just configure a million players worth of servers from across the world to work on a game that is a sequel to a rather unknown decade old top down shooter overnight. They anticipated a fraction of the players they ended up getting, and it is a mark of just how quality this game is that so many people gave it free advertising. It's not like they aren't working on it, more server space is being added already and it is obviously a priority of them to get more people to play their game, duh. Grow up!

Apart from issues that will be resolved in like a week that everyone likes freaking out about, this game is insanely well designed, every little detail has been well thought out to allow for the most enjoyment, to a degree usually reserved to the likes of Valve. This game knows exactly what you want and gives it to you.

Hoping for highly increased player counts per lobby in the future, this game would shine with large battlefields with distant battles and airstrikes and large scale teamwork.

At just $40 this is one of the greatest gaming purchases you can make, the definitive way to play 5 of the best shooters of all time and also Halo 4.

The people saying this isn't worth $18 are absurd. The amount and quality of the new maps alone are worth the asking price, let alone the incredibly detailed faction that covers all three eras and plays much differently from the others. Not to mention the campaign that has some of the better missions in the game, as well as the new skirmishes. Some people may cite Men of War as shipping with far more factions to argue against this being paid, but MOW factions were largely copy and paste, just with different skins and slightly different stats. Finland is entirely unlike any other faction, and plays far differently, realistically depicting them in great detail. The squads are all well crafted and realistic, and there's plenty of fun unique units, like bike soldiers and heavy engineers which build up static coastal cannons, and the white death himself. In short: it really makes you FEEL like Finland.

Anyone saying this should be free or cheaper, would you pay $18 for a whole RTS that covers Finland's entire involvement in WW2, which includes a complete campaign and multiplayer? Because that's what this is.

The support doctrine adds a lot to multiplayer, mixing things up with unique and interesting units, its a good way to freshen up all eras, and fairly well balanced from what I've seen. It's nothing too crazy, but it's well worth the $10, especially since you also get 8 new missions as well. Most complaints I've seen have been "this should be in the base game" and while sure, it isn't a whole new faction and could've been implemented into the base game, it's also cheaper than a whole new faction, and the amount of free content being added is very generous already, they've got to make money off their additional work somewhere in order to fund those free updates and bigger DLCs. Bottom line, the content here is well worth $10 if you already know you like the game. If you're just getting into GOH or only play it intermittently, it's not a must-buy, but it's not a bad deal either.
