There's only one thing wrong with this game, and it's that you have to be connected to PSN to play it despite there being no multiplayer capabilities for this game.

Ignoring that elephant in the room, Ragnarok tells a gripping story through multiple characters and expands upon the gameplay elements of the 2018 reboot. Enemy variety is better, there's more unique bosses, there's more weapons to choose from and their skill trees have been expanded upon. While I must admit that the original spirit of God of War seems completely gone in the combat, the fatigue-breaking puzzle sections are still present as they have been since the original, and they remain just as engaging and at times infuriating as they always were. A good prior knowledge of the former 8 games will amplify the emotional beats in the story, but they arent necessary. The writers do an excellent job of letting exposition guy (mamir) explain everything to you without it ever actually feeling like exposition.

GoW 2018 felt like they nailed the story and never quite fleshed out the gameplay to match the original. It felt in many ways like the series was trying to copy contemporary story-focused action games more than they were trying to carve out their own gameplay systems. In Ragnarok, it feels like the all the systems have matured nicely and are much more rewarding to engage with.

Overall, Ragnarok presents a much more balanced experience between challenging gameplay and gripping storytelling than its predecessor, never really leaving anything to be desired in any aspect. Santa Monica Studios proved it could expand upon and perfect their formula from 2018, and I'm excited to see where they bring the series next.

Effortlessly blends addictive, arcade-style racing with realistic, open-world simulation. All 4 seasons interchangeable on a gorgeous map. There's a community hub of player-created races that you can do singleplayer, co-op or online so you will never run out of fresh content.

This is a certified hood classic. You'll have to grab it on the windows store now, but it's actually worth it.

Don't let the reddit screeching scare you. This is an action-rpg masterclass. What a blast.
DD2 retains the unique charm and stellar combat of the first game while tidying up many of the quirks and irritations scattered throughout the last release.
The pawn system is utterly unique and should be experienced by every RPG fan at least once.

This game released alongside absolute gaming behemoths in 2008, and is often overlooked. This is secretly one of the best hack & slash games from that time period that you will have the joy of playing. It's fairly short, very sweet, and replayable with lots of customization. I played this entire game on PSP and enjoyed it so much I bought it again on PC for nostalgia.

In the words of IGN, this game really makes you FEEL like an unstoppable Sith badass.

This game is hard to review in the modern day, it really has not aged gracefully at all. If you can look past the age, lack of polish, and super dumbed-down CRPG combat, this is one of the greatest Star Wars stories ever written. While it does lack the complexity & maturity of its sequel, it's still a must play for any Star Wars fan.

Intuitive and addictive combat with just enough story to keep you moving forward. One of the most in-depth character creators I've ever seen. A companion (pawn) system the likes of which I have also never seen.
This game isn't exactly a masterpiece, there's a lot you can nitpick it for. The devs took what they loved from other contemporary action RPG's and blended them into a game that still manages to feel fresh and innovative even today.

This is the best Madden game in over a decade, and it's still shocking how mediocre it feels as a supposedly finished product from a AAA games developer.

I can rag on EA all day long, everything negative about these games that can be said has been said ad nauseam before me. If you haven't bought Madden in years, definitely grab this on sale and enjoy a few seasons of Franchise or play with your buddies. I can't recommend paying full price for a Madden game however, or any other EA game for that matter. EA simply doesn't respect the consumer enough or the Madden brand enough to be demanding AAA prices for this product.

The longer I play this game, the more confident I am that this is the best game I have ever played. The depth of the story and its characters is incredible. The freedom you have in your choices, both story and gameplay, is unmatched. You never stop being rewarded for creativity. This game is non-stop entertainment.
