Totally recommend this game, this is one of my favorite Fighting games for a generation, released originally for WIndows 95, but this Steam version is free and DRM-Free. I loved the game so much that I have it on my XP machine and WIndows 98. Game can be in English or in Japanese, It's up to you!

Features of this game

  • There's versus mode (if you have a weird friend like yourself to play with you), unfortunate I only have normal friends :(
  • There's Arcade mode (Pretty much story mode, but not exactly)
  • And that's about it!

Now the weird nature of this game makes it mandatory for anyone trying to laugh a bit with how weird these man actors are and act. The real core of this game in my opinion is the speed mode where you need to have a speed CPU in order to do that, recommend a XP processor to speed things up, but any CPU today can be done.

Now to run this game using modern hardware, It's preferable for you to low down the resolution. AGAIN, THIS IS A WINDOWS 95 GAME, preserved in the original format. So this Steam version is essentially a WIndows 95 game, which is incredible it can run in 64 bits systems until today. Also apparently accepts Remote play!

So give a try and invite your weird friend to the party as well <3

Game is great, but this Steam release is borked!

I tried to run this on WIndows XP, 32 bits, WIndows 7 64 bits, WIndows Vista 32 bits, WIndows 10, WIndows 11 during the years and even tried to install it on Linux Ubuntu, same result... game crash over and over and over again, It's very frustrating... I really wish Rockin Android give up the rights of this game and Acceleration of Suguri 1, because It's been more than 3 years and some people can run this game, some don't. Spin the wheel of fate because you are going to need a lot of luck to make this game work or waste your money.

So again, the game is great, my solution for this ***** was buy the game elsewhere, but avoid at all costs games published by this publisher. (The original CD installation for this game I can install in anything and works like a charm, so yeah, don't buy this game or Acceleration of Suguri 1)

Hidden Gem in the Chinese market, one of the TOP downloaded Chinese games for mobile (yes mobile) and a great experience overall with many different levels.

This game is great and I loved it each second of it... Only issue It's fully in Chinese and you probably aren't going to understand what's going on, but don't get fooled by the language barrier here some positive thoughts I got about this game:

- Positive:
  1. Game allows you to play Offline (That's right, if you want to simply download the game and don't create an account it comes with levels for you have some fun.
  2. After creating an account, you are good to go, game have many different modes and even Coop if you want to, I'm going to talk about Coop below.
  3. Save your progress: That's right you don't need to play in one sit until the end, you can download the game, play for a few minutes or hours and try another day and it will save your progress from where you stopped last time (even if you are going to continue offline)
  4. Make big levels (I dunno if levels are the right word to describe this, but here you can create the level of your dreams, It allow to create amazing and big levels of infinite screens if you want.
  5. Creativity... I Wanna be the creator is very unique, based in the I Wanna be fan games and unique abilities and physics, only down side is the customization option is non-existent, sure you can customize the icon that shows below your name in the main menu, but that's about it...
  6. Uploud anything obeying the laws of course (You can uploud custom content for your levels, allowing to go even further... you can add custom images, music, and effects)
  7. Make levels requiring to type a specific text on the chat. So if you want to create a math level where the player need to type the correct answer, this game got cover for you...
  8. Game allow you to UPDATE levels: That's right you don't need to remove the level and uploud again, you can just update it... Players are going to download the update of the level if they want to and creator can post in the changelog of that specific level saying the changes he/she made.
  9. Playing with friends or online globally (You can choose create a private server or just choose one level people is playing at the moment and download that level and play with them, there are a lot of game modes in the Multiplayer menu these are;
    • Normal Multiplayer: Playing with people around the world but in your own game (you can see other people's progress through ghosts)
    • Private Multiplayer: Create a server with a password where you can invite people in only if they have the password.
    • Coop sections: Did you ever play a level where it was very difficulty for you to finish? Need help? This mode is for you then... Allow other players touch a checkpoint and automatically teleporting other players to the last checkpoint used.
  10. When you start the level, you can see the Ghost of the person that uplouded the level and see what he did to finish it up.
  11. Replay mode: You can watch other people that finished the same level as you.
  12. Leaderboard: Not only a speedrun of the level, but score also affects the final position of the player... It's up for the creator of the level decide the logic behind a better score.
  13. Manage your own levels: You can download a level and delete that specific level you downloaded in-game without needing to go to the folder where the files are, but it gives you an option to see where It's saving your levels content.
  14. You can like, dislike (number not visible), follow a person or adding in the favorite list without having to finish the level.
  15. There are levels for everyone in this game... Do you like the grind levels where you need to grind to keeping a number going up someone got this level for you or you are the hardcore type that like very hard needle levels? You can find it here too.
  16. Game runs in 60 fps.
  17. Compatible with Windows XP 32 bits (I tested it up and it works even online)
  18. Cross-platform: This is not only available to Android, but people that play in the phone can play together with PC users which is awesome.
  19. If you got progress in your phone more than your PC, you can transfer your whole progress to PC without needing to finish the offline levels again.
  20. Achievement system already in-game, allowing to unlock characters and customization options or even filters while searching for Online Levels.
Now of course many things positive about this game, but I also need to cover the Negative ones...

Negative:
  1. Sometimes the servers are very slow to download content, sometimes doesn't finish your downloads and you need to keep restarting the game until it works.
  2. One of the main complains is the whole game been in Chinese and people not understand a thing... Even if the devs choose to have English language in this I doubt they would because this game is popular in the mainland of China for phones, so why bother with English users demanding for English?
  3. Also another controversy is the trust people got from Chinese products, we all know everything is opening to the government and It's their law, but judging only because of that is pure ignorance thinking China is tracking everyone... I should say Facebook is more dangerous than China... Also China doesn't care about tracking you living on US because you are an American citizen... I think these people are paranoic or something, I dunno...
  4. Finally some levels requires you to type using Kanji characters in order to make progress in the games like the offline level "I hate this I Wanna"....
  5. + Sometimes you are kicked out of the online mode, because the level just can't keep up with online for some reason... It's more like a choice from the person that worked with the level than with the game itself.

Conclusion: Game is very good, compatible with any machine that is XP and beyond, have a mobile version, have crossplatform, and allow to play with friends. I dunno a lot about the community of this, but one thing I can say they don't talk ♥♥♥♥ with each other like in another game called I Wanna Maker, also available here on Steam and free. This game have a lot of love from the community and a lot of positive reviews, because it really deserves it... I love this game in many ways and wish more people knew about this..

They removed Raider queue for the 2nd time

Yes that's right, imagine buying the game to play as Broly and having to wait and forcing you to play as Survivor for almost 7 rounds until you can be raider again. The devs also said in their own stream that feel sorry for people buying the game and not be able to play as their favorite Raider, sorry my ass. Why the heck they removed Raider queue for the second time? Yes long waits, but at least it allowed you to be Raider anytime, come on Breakers, be better...

If you know Japanese like me, please DO NOT buy this game, Bandai/Namco need to learn a lesson and release the game with Japanese texts too, if they want to censor scenes fine, but leave the Japanese text out of it... Buy their games only when Japanese text is available so you can have a full experience without needing to buy the game again just for the language itself... AND NO, ONLY JAPANESE AUDIO DOESN'T HELP SOLVE THE PROBLEM... Would like a game where it only had English voice, but texts in another completely different language? Of course not so there you have it!

This is a short review for someone that have this + Boss 101 which was made by the same devs. I will change the review if the devs are back working in this!

First of all since the game wasn't sold enough they just abandoned the game and leaved as it is. So what do we have here?

- Coop mini games from Boss 101
- New maps and rotation
- Highscores
- Global Highscores (From Steam)
- New Mini-games that doesn't show on Boss 101 like Rob's Adventure (my favorite)
- Support to Remote Play from Steam

Now these mini-games are pretty basic and it drains your fun very quickly (if playing coop). But the only thing that is completely broken are the achievements. Until the devs return to development of this I WOULD CALL THIS GAME IS NOT A FULL RELEASE, BUT INSTEAD NEED TO BE IN EARLY ACCESS. (It makes more sense that way)

I'm final note is... Buy this only if you don't care about achievements and want to pass the time playing some coop or versus mini-games from Boss 101 for about 1 hour until you move to something else. Btw! If you like Retro games, this is a good call.

There's no game! Really It doesn't, also don't think about achievements as well because there's no achievements and this game which is not a game is not for free, so don't even dare to try it out for curiosity purposes, If I say there's no game It's because there's no reason to click 'Install' and play there's no game, because of course there's No Game!

Comparisons between the original Sega Mega-Drive port

- Improved Sounds and Music.
- Improved Graphics.
- Runs on 60 FPS (The game feels fast).
- Same game from the Brazilian Port on the Sega Genesis/Mega-Drive (Running 60hz instead of 50).
- It comes with a PDF Manual of the PC release.

What else do you need? Oh yeah! A decent controller to play this game, but unfortunate you aren't going to get it, because Disney locked this game to be used only with a keyboard, unless if you have a third-party to emulate keystrokes of your keyboard using a controller.

This version you can use Steam Big Picture to emulate that, but in a general manner and only with that, So It's going to mess up with the keys on your controller and the rest of your interface unfortunate, but hey that's better than installing a third-party software just to be playable on a controller, right?

Now for the game like I said It's an old one, but at least now you can buy the original release. (If you don't own one already) I have the game in the original PAL version for my Sega Mega-drive, since a long time ago. I really wanted to recommend this game for anyone and I really would if the game was compatible with a controller (Xbox 360 and Generic USB Gamepads) and that's my only issue...

Trying 30fps on consoles and play 60fps for this release is just insane, but It's playable at least...

For the full story behind this game (Not from me): https://streetwriterpodcast.blogspot.com/2014/09/remaking-icon-final-part-true-story-of.html

Be aware that this Steam version have DRM with Steam, if you want this game with DRM-Free you can also get the GOG version, which doesn't have any difference besides the DRM itself

If you want to transfer this game to Windows 98 or XP, be aware the executable file is not the same as the Windows 95/98 release (You can't replace executable files and expect to work since the original file have different commands in his structure), game is still the same, but they update the executable to run only in 64bits systems and 32 using Windows 7 and beyond (apply to the GOG version as well), so unless you have a modern PC you won't be able to run this title in old systems BEFORE Windows 7.

Okay! I can't recommend this game for everybody, unless you have a Nvidia RTX 2080 or something close to support natively RTX technology. People that have Pascal architecture can run RTX as well, but Good Luck trying to reach 30 fps at least... :)

Pros:

- First client to incorporate RTX technology.
- Improves textures and graphics a lot, but the textures itself you could just copy the pak. files and paste in the original Q2 folder, that it could improve the textures as well.
- It supports OpenGL for those that don't have RTX, but again, why would you choose this instead any other client?
- You can browse for servers without needing to put the IP in the address book like the official client, it uses q2servers.com as the Master Server.
- New textures for glasses, wall, metal and even the guns themselves, but unfortunate not the actual model.

Cons:

- Maps are too dark, because it uses Q2 Pro engine, I never liked that client even supporting anticheat, but I prefer wait to be available in clients like Yamagi Quake 2 than use this. (Maps are dark even with or without global Illumination, since this game was never intended to be used a new light technology, some maps shows a completely pitch black, in some sessions)
- Work in progress, but probably it won't show any support or update besides showing how RTX works, for 3 maps.
- Only maps during the day look awesome!
- For what I can tell that's the only client the accepts RTX at the moment, if there are more, I will update the review for sure...

Overall the client is awesome, but because Nvidia is involved, probably it will be abandoned after RTX graphics card begin to sell well. This client was pretty much a demo for the conference, but I doubt it will have any support after some time, since we're talking about an old game that was pretty much revived suddenly. But hey! I love Quake 2 and their community around the world, maybe i'm wrong, but let's see in the future...

I played this game in the 4 days free during the 'Cleaning Event 2019'.

My first impression of the game was very good, actually, I played for 3 days straight, 2 with a friend and 1 alone... And after waiting ages for someone in my region join the match I noticed something interesting, this game apparently was made to play with friends, so if you don't have any, give a chance to another game that deserve it, since if you're alone you will see ragequitters, ghosting (with their friends) and even cheaters sometimes.

The mechanic is simple: 4 survivals and 1 Killer. Of course the killer have the objective to kill all 4 survivals (sacrificing them to I dunno what) and the survivals need to fix 5 generators before opening the final door.

Meanwhile your progress in the game is based in what is called 'Blood Lust', or something like... With that you can unlock perks for your survival character or Killer character to improve in their abilities (All abilities in this game is enabled automatically during the match). Each character have a progress system where you need to unlock manually and this tree skill is completely random, so expect things differently for every character pretty much.

Microtransactions:

Of course right? It doesn't make enough money just buying the game, it also needs microtransactions to the cake be full. In here it's all cosmetics like clothes and characters as DLCs. But the only way to buy new clothes or things to customize your character, besides the perks are buying their virtual money, which in my opinion is every expensive and paying for like I dunno $60, you can expect to unlock only 4 sets of cloth.

In resume:

The game is fun, addicted and probably you will love it for the first time, but be aware if you play this alone, other griefers in your region (since it's impossible to change that) may be able to cause annoyance. The game also have a report system, but It seems the devs do it very little to punish bad players with bad reputation since the game is out for about 3 years now and very little was done.
