This is everything I want in a VR title and more. When I got my headset I did not expect mini-golf to be the game I enjoyed the most, but it's absolutely incredible to play and no competitor is even close. The aesthetic, the little details, the stories that are told on the maps, the realistic physics, the creative hole designs/mechanics, the consistent updates, the customization.

On top of that the game is fairly easy to run as I have no trouble with a gtx 1070 on my Quest 2.

It may appear like the DLC maps are cost-prohibitive, but only the person making the lobby needs a map for everyone to be able to play on it. Not only that, but the maps are made with such love and care and they're truly gorgeous. Each and every one is worth the few extra bucks.

If you've got some friends with VR headsets it truly feels like stepping onto a mini-golf course. I'd also highly suggest using the in-game voice chat instead of Discord because your avatar's mouth moves when you talk and honestly it's hilarious.

10/10, I tried wracking my mind for a flaw and honestly couldn't even come up with a nitpick.

A fantastic TCG overall. If you're sick of Hearthstone's RNG and want a more stable experience you'll be happy to know this game mimics Magic the Gathering's ruleset much more closely and puts a lot of power into the player's control rather than the roll of a die. But just because it takes inspiration from other games doesn't mean it isn't its own creation as it makes good use of its digital format with interesting mechanics that wouldn't be possible with its printed competitors.

The UI is smooth, the client itself is aesthetically pleasing and responsive, and it has most of the features you'd expect of a high quality online TCG.

It already has 3 sets released and 2 campaigns, with a steady schedule for new content that Direwolf should be proud of. The F2P model is so generous that people passionate about the game actually worry maybe it's too generous out of concern for the company's long term longevity. But don't worry, they're not going anywhere as they also work on the powerhouse that is Elder Scrolls Legends.

As for negatives - I will say that sometimes the meta can be a bit stale as certain cards are pushed in such a way that old decks can just absorb them while new decks still struggle to put together the tools to beat the old favorites. I'll also say the tutorial is a bit long and boring for any TCG veterans, but thankfully it only needs to be done once and you do get rewards for doing it. I also take issue with the latest set released (set 3) in that I think the focus on tribal synergies was either pushed too hard or not enough, and the new cardtext Nightfall is overall lackluster. I will say that future sets could fill in the hole and make good use of the tools introduced, it's just not felt right now sadly.

Overall: 8.5/10

This game doesn't have the raw emotional impact or story cohesiveness of the first game, I'm sad to say. That being said the combat has been improved upon 1000 fold, and is so phenomenal that it alone could carry this game to a great score. While the story isn't bad by any means, it feels like a lot more of a vehicle to deliver the astounding gameplay than vice-versa as was the case in the previous game.
