I never got to play the old S.W.A.T. games, but I'm told if you liked those then you need not hesitate to buy Ready or Not. For everyone else, Ready or Not is a fantastic balance of approachable and deep. You absolutely can just armor up, grab a big gun, and tear through a mission action movie style. ORRRRRRrrr, you can plan out your teams equipment, look at the maps, and clear room after room without taking a single scratch. That's where I think this game really shines. It's like chasing a high score. Ok, you can clear this mission just blasting bad guys, but can you do it with mostly arrests? How about completely non-lethally? You start to push yourself to get cleaner and cleaner on each go. And that's just the single player mode! Playing with friends and coordinating your actions is so satisfying. I love this game.

Incredible example of how to do a proper remake. Here's two ways to review this.

For those who played the original: I never finished the original Half-Life because of Xen, that is now fixed. That should be all you need to know. Everything else great about the original is there in HD and modernized to some degree without losing its charm.

For those who never played the original: Half-Life was a water shed moment for gaming and launch the company Valve into the spotlight. There is a reason Half-Life 3 is so coveted. Black Mesa is a respectful and faithful remake that fixes some of the issues that come with such an old game. It is so good. So so good. Get it now.

First things first, if you are already an existing Gundam fan, install it and try it out.

Ok, everyone else, Gundam Evolution falls just short of being an easy recommendation, but I recommend it nonetheless. The movement and gunplay are great. Balance feels….better than expected but could be better. The micro-transactions are not great, but not terrible. XP gain feels pretty slow. Basically, if you are expecting Overwatch polish, it’s not quite there. If you want to play something a little faster paced and in my opinion easier to get into, this might be your game. Fingers crossed the game lives long enough to see the wrinkles ironed out!

If you have played Insurgency then this will be quick. Buy this game now. It's Insurgency improved in almost every way. Only thing I can say bad about it so far is there isn't any way to cover the walls in anime girls and make my guns lewd. -A for that.

Ok so if you haven't played Insurgency, trust me this game is good. It is a different kind of military shooter than most people are used to. More hardcore than something like Call of Duty but not as hard to approach as something like Arma. Fast paced and precise gunplay. Just don't take it too seriously and you will probably have a good time.

It's always difficult to judge an early access game but as a die hard Battlefield fan I had to give this one a go. Ravenfield is absolutely a love letter to the early Battlefield games and other team based shooters of the time like Joint Ops. Highly recommend for someone looking for a more casual shooter.

Things I like:
-Simplistic styling
-Gunplay and handling
-Decent AI (particularly with vehicles)
-Very easy to jump in and out of games
-RAGDOLL!

Not so like:
-Graphics maybe a little tooo simple
-Sometimes you ragdoll and it takes a long time to recover

Things I would like to see from this game:
-AI improvements so they can use cover and buildings
-More options for custom games like which side can use what guns and vehicles (for better mod support)
-Some kind of multiplayer. I know this is a singleplayer game and I don't think it needs multiplayer to be fun but I wouild
love to do a bot stomp with some buddies or commander style faceoffs. You know just think about it.

The Company of Heroes games hold a special place in my game heart. They redefined what I thought an RTS game can be. Company of Heroes 2, while maybe not as extrordinary as it's predicessor, carries the torch well. It isn't perfect, nothing is, and the balance could be better, but the core mechanics are solid and the new features such as weather and sightlines adds a welcome level of depth. There is a great modding community that really extends the life of this game from gameplay tweaks to total conversions. The progression system feels a little grindy but it's mostly asthetic anyways so you aren't really missing out on anything. The three additional factions are a must if you want to really enjoy this game and considering that they come with their own campaigns I think it's worth the cost.

Requires having friend. Literally unplayable. ten outta ten would be lonely again.

Its good. Invited my friends to my match. I then killed them and finished the mission alone.

Love this game! Captures all the crazyness of the previous games with a bunch of new mechanics.

A fun coop experience. While there is little replay value, there is enough content to keep you busy for a while. Solo play is possible but it really is a cooperative game.
