Addicting game-play loop despite how brutal it can get. The climbing mechanics are wonderful, in large part due to the stamina bar working as ALL of your buffs/debuffs/health, which is a great concept. Very fun with friends or even solo.

Updating this review to give it basically a double thumbs-down. The title update seemingly broke my game even more. I didn't experience any performance boosts. Instead, I received a double middle-finger since my game actually does not let me fight Zoh Shia. The quest is entirely bugged out. I'm HR235, so it's not that I'm too low of an HR. The game just tells me to head to Suja, but there is absolutely no one there to select a quest or talk to. Tried verifying files, restarting a bunch of times, etc.

I love Monster Hunter, it's the gaming franchise I've played the most. Not only has this been the most poor Monster Hunter experience I have had in terms of the game working properly, but it has been the worst for any game I have ever played. Fix your ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥, Capcom.

Early Access Review
The atmosphere, world and combat seem great and very promising. Unfortunately, the game is completely unplayable for me in it's current state. While I can get the game to run at around 90 - 140 FPS (very jumpy) at medium settings with DLSS at 1440p, this should be unacceptable with a 4070S and R9 7950x3D. At highest settings with no DLSS / or with DLAA, I can sometimes drop to 20 or even 10 FPS. I don't get it. Please fix the performance. I'd love to play this game someday!

Once again, the game is a broken mess. I'm someone who mostly enjoys the sim and playnow aspects of NBA 2K games, and I would love to say that that portion of the game has only gotten better. However, I sadly cannot. There are so many issues at the moment that break any enjoyment to be had. Once again, teammate CPU AI is entirely broken. Manual defensive coaching options do not work. The AI refuses to play any sort of help side defense, switch a screen, or do any of the play-calling changes I make. To make matters worse, I decided to take a closer look at some of the weird shot animations the CPU was making against me. In many cases, the opposing player would phase through my arms / clip through me in some other sort of way, where the game fails to register that I am even playing defense there, so it rewards the CPU with an "open shot." It is so unbelievably frustrating that this game continues to be released in the broken mess it is year after year.

One of the most highly touted video games of all-time, and for good reason. There is nothing left to say about just how gripping, immersive and moving the story of this game is; and how impeccable the execution. What I would like to focus on is just how impressive of a port this is. I had zero issues with running this game, and in fact found that it had a lot of really wonderful settings. Aside from this, all the extra collectible goodies, extras, bonus content, DLC, etc. make this remake not only a treat for returning fans, but also newcomers (like myself). All-in-all, a must-have game to have in your library.

Genuinely one of the best and most interesting platform fighters that I have ever played. While I love what is here, I cannot recommend the game in it's current state. I have encountered zero issues across the board with my computer, and for some reason, this game causes my computer to encounter either random game crashes or full on kernel power error issues. I had read somewhere that this may be related to using an AMD CPU but I cannot confirm this. Hope the issue gets resolved. This is a phenomenal game (when it runs).

One of the wackiest and funniest party game to play with your friends. A really fun concept done perfectly.

It’s brutal. It’s unforgiving. And it is a MASSIVE expansion. I kind of avoided the embargo and all spoilers like the plague, so you can imagine my surprise when the map kept getting bigger, and bigger, and bigger. The first sliver of the map you get feels as dense and as big as Limgrave alone. I haven’t progressed as far yet as I’ve wanted to, but the level-design feels so much more focused to me. Elden Ring had some issues for me at times with replay ability & such. I am a DS1 and BB guy— the linear structure of those games is very satisfying and scratches that “metroidvania” itch I get. Shadow of the Erdtree feels much more like DS3 to me, even, with some of its level design; it is excellent.

I understand the difficulty qualms and I understand the performance qualms. But, if you can just set aside your controller for a couple minutes when you feel that frustration after getting your assed handed to you, I think you are in for one masterful treat.

I started playing NBA 2K games upon the release of 2K17. Sadly to say, the shameless commercialization and stagnation of progression has only sky-rocketed since that release. NBA 2K22 continues to showcase 2K's blatant commercial schemes in order to get their consumers to spend more. The gameplay itself feels mostly untouched from the previous 2 entries. In some regards, this is fine. However, 2K has proven once again they are unwilling to even try to fix the plethora of issues that plagues their games. This realization is felt on an unprecedented level when playing My Career, as well.

My Career used to be one of the more fun things that 2K had to offer. Of course, it is the only up-to-date Basketball simulator, so there isn't much choice. After visiting previous titles BEFORE virtual currency was a thing, it made me realize how much 2K has scammed it's player base. Trying to play My Career in this game feels like an absolute chore. Yet, you could just save your time if you just spent "x" amount of money to boost your player stats up to a level that every real life NBA rookie would start at. This is exactly how they get you. The game feels nearly impossible to play when you're a 60 overall player competing against 75+ overall players. Your reward for putting 12-minute quarters and HOF difficulty on is minuscule compared to the $20 they want you to spend on their virtual currency. It is an absolute scam and thievery. This is NOT a triple A title, and it never will be as long as 2K continues to get away with scamming it's consumers. The only time you should ever even feel temped to purchase this game is if it is >$10.
