A pretty decent casual game with a fun 8 bit aesthetic. Essentially it's a 3 match puzzle game much like any shuffle games candy crush etc etc. However in this game you need a bit more strategy on when to match what. You have the options between two types of attack, magical and physical, which effect various monsters in various ways. In addition to this you have key blocks to open doors and chests, all of these pieces are needed to continue the "run" trying to get as many points as you can. In the beginning it'll be tough, but there are ways that you can save up supplies that you earn in each run, by clearing stone and wood blocks and those are used to upgrade each room.
All in all this is a pretty fun game, a quick casual puzzle with aspects of a rpg. Take that as you will.

Early Access Review
I feel like my journey in Starbound is just beginning. The angry koala beta has been an amazing time. I remember when Terraria, it's predecessor, came out how entranced and enthralled I was with the idea of an open construction world, like mincraft, mixed with a larger rpg elements in an 16 bit world. Starbound went more than a step beyond that, it went miles beyond. Crossing over various worlds with varying difficulty, building new homes and experiencing various monsters and races has been an absolute joy! It's definitely one to play by yourself but to me where a game like this really opens up in when you play with friends and I have had an excellent time doing so, trying out the various dungeons and exploring.

This is a definitely must play for people who enjoy open ended worlds and exploring, or the 16 bit aesthetic.

Oh man. As a film maker I personally thought that Drive was one of the best cinematic pieces that has come out in the past couple years. The idea of Neon Noir as a thematic narrative for a film was an amazing concept when coupled with Refn's cinematography, and Gosling's acting.

The reason I mention drive, is because Hotline Miami explicitly thanks them for the inspiration. And it shows. This game is a great Neon Noir game. The game play is simple yet challenging and I'm not going to lie, running into a building with just a knife and just shanking everyone without getting caught is super satisfying. I love that the game has danger to it and the music and coloring makes the stealth gameplay unique and raise game replay value.

I tend to be a pretty big fan of games that dont handhold and that tend to instead, hide various stories and gameplay from you unless you search for it. I appreciated Hotline Miami because with all of the masks and the two endings I was able to enjoy playing it and trying out different combos for my gameplay style.

The Stanley Parable is one of those unique games where you love the narrative more than the game play 100% of the time. Maybe that's because that is literally the point of this game. Narrative. And what a narrative it is, I have completed around 5 or 6 of the endings and I keep coming back for more. I filmed a couple let's plays of my activity and had a really great time interacting with the voice and trying out various ideas that I thought might get a rise out of it.

If you enjoy games that make you think beyond just solving puzzles
If you enjoy meta games that question the idea of free will and force you to face reprecussions for decisions
If you liked portal, not because of the portals but, because of GlaDos and Wheatley's snarkyness
Then Buy and Play this game.
