It has better jumpscares than counter strike and y'all have no idea how hard it is to achieve that nowadays

What on earth is this game? lol
If you are wondering what the definition of true trash is, you're about to find out the moment you start to play this. Graphics are majorly downgraded compared to the trailer and early demo, game's loads of bugs and loooong ass waiting time between and after the given objectives. The game had very few music and sound in it. There were some during the sequences where the "prorag" was high as a kite, but that's it. And no save option?? How are you supposed to progress if you run into a bug which calls for restarting the whole thing if you can't even load your save files 'cause there's nothing to load? What a joke, dude.

On a brighter note, the story is good. I actually liked the basic concept, but too bad it was told by THIS game of all. The story wasn't built properly, everything lacked weight due to long waiting times, the absence of consequences and reactions of anyone and everything, including the MC, whose changes in psyche weren't palpable at all. Though the basic concept was good, its execution was, like, really f*cking weird and didn't make sense most of the time, so the ending didn't hit really hard. Highly UNrecommended👎🏻

Lemme start off by saying that it took me 28 STAB WOUNDS to gather my thoughts and finally write my review about this SUCCULENT game.

I can safely say this masterpiece is the most freaking choice-based game EVER!! Basically every choice you make (or don't make) truly affect how the story goes for our main and supporting characters. But let the number of endings speak instead of me: this gem right here has eighty. five. possible. endings!! And THIS is what I call nearly endless possibilities. The game's replay value is H U G E.

Detroit: Become Human reflects real life in the sense of the weight and consequences of our actions. It provides insight into a fictional, but highly feasible future where the toll androids take on humankind and people's lives is major, and depicts the fears, standards, frustration (fueled by the lack of employment due to the existence of androids), and expectations of society in said future. But in the end, it's all up to you what the public opinion of deviants and androids altogether is, and whether the majority develops empathy for them or not.

The story, the major and minor ties between our protags, the relationships we build (or ruin) between them and their partners is well thought out, to say the least. If we compare Connor, Markus and Kara's character to their final "form", we can clearly see the outcome of the long journey we, and as a result, they've made. And even though a huge part of their personalities depend on the choices we make and the actions we take, their character growth is inevitable and it's impossible not to see it. The road from servtitude and the absence of feelings to freedom/extinction, filled with emotions is exciting and its depiction is beautiful.

The conflict is revealed, or at least heavily teased early in the game, therefore we know what we will face and what we can work with. The journey starts with Connor, the deviant hunter being in deep water and we come face to face with the very thing we are trying to get justice for later on. It's a very important element, since we gotta see the bigger picture, the main characters' motivations and purpose to be able to judge properly, to choose our desired adventure and to make these decisions to get the preferred outcome.

I also loved the representation of racial and sexual minorities among androids and their roles in the story. Individuals with various race and sexuality are present and they aren't distinguished for being part of said minority groups, but for being deviants. Equality within the world of inequality is a great addition to the story, even if it's minor.

Now the imagery... There are multiple words I could use to describe DBH's graphics but I'll go with this one: breathtaking. The protags, the NPCs, the environments, everything is meticulously made!
The facial expressions and movements are flawless, thanks to the perfectly executed mo-cap. The characters' emotions are written all over their faces and their movements differ from each other's, which was a really nice touch.
When it comes to the controls, well, it's not that great at all. I'll even go so far as to say I hated it. I found it really hard to control the characters and that made the interactions with objects really hard. Kind of resembles the controls of
The Walking Dead, which had the same problem.
The other turn-off was the porting. I understand that these kind of graphics require a strong PC, it's undeniable. But my rig perfectly meets these requirements and I still had crashes and major, long-lasting lags during certain cutscenes, no matter which graphics options I played with. And I've heard I'm not the only one with this problem.

SUMMARY:
You can tell your choices really matter and they heavily affect how the story goes and how it ends. This is the best game I've ever encountered replayability-wise, the endings heavily differ so you can do a lot of playthroughs, not to mention it's comfortably long.
The story is a complete emotional rollercoaster. I laughed, cried, felt numb, annoyed, calm, confused and I can't even tell you how many kind of emotions were awaken in me while playing it. But empathy was one of them for sure. I could relate to both the deviants and humans. Both had valid reasons for their feelings, thoughts and desires and it wasn't hard to understand why they were the way they were and why they did what they did.
Storywise, it's a superb game with a fair amount of plot twists. If you want to experience a well-built, well-paced and strong story with serious and important topics, look no further. Though, if you don't like "woke" content, I don't recommend it, since because of said topics, some individuals label it as "woke" (which I fundamentally disagree with).
The graphics are top-notch, especially for a 4 year old game. The atmosphere fits the game's setting as well. The character movements and facial expressions are excellent, though the control and porting leaves a lot to be desired.
It surely has its flaws but overall, this is the best game I've ever played.

I f*ckin loved this DLC!! Steph was surprisingly relatable, and understandably, really vulnerable and it was soo freaking dope to see Mikey again, even if he was present on the laptop screen only. He reaaaally has grown a lot😳
The tie-ins also were both heartbreaking and legendary and they f*cked me up big time, ngl.
I didn't expect to be able to play foosball again, but folks, believe me when I say that it was uproarious and awesome at the same time. The dialogues between Steph and Gabe during the matches were hilarious, I legit laughed my ass off. Not to mention the convos in the group chat and stuff. Next. Freaking. Level. And last but definitely not least the ending scene was a well executed tie-in as well.
Another great addition to the collection of emotional rollercoasters.
