I spent more time just beating this game (Spent over both mine and my friends campaigns) than I did playing the entire of Remnant: From the Ashes and it's DLC's, which I also thoroughly enjoyed. They expanded on everything from the first game in every way, made returning to the worlds much more rewarding, diverse and made creating builds a lot more varied and fun.

The Archetype system adds a lot more progression and variations/options for tackling combat that can downright invalidate some bosses or encounters. Some of the unlocks and puzzles can have some questionable logic to work out but never impossible.

My only real gripe is the netcode when playing with friends that live in the same state as me, sometimes the delay can be upward of 1-2 seconds, which when paired with boss attacks that wind up in about or even less time than the delay can be frustrating to adjust to.

Thankfully when playing with friends I can deal with a 1-2 second delay by just adjusting my dodge timing. If I'm playing with rando's that happen to live in another country it can be impossible to react to some attacks unless I spam dodge-rolls.

Overall I love this game and plan to continue playing until I've unlocked everything I can be bothered to unlock. I can see myself spending a lot more time in this once the DLC starts to drop.

I would make a joke about this running as bad as a game with a hidden bitcoin miner but I don't want to insult the performance of games with hidden bitcoin miners.

Played this right after finishing the first game, and barely felt like there was a gap in the plot (Save the VR game). It is a markedly better game mechanically, visually and control wise. No super overpowered abilities like in Psychonauts 1, and a great continuation of a few plot threads from the first game. Easily goty.

I really wanted to enjoy this game and I played through about half the campaign with a friend but it became so repetitive within the first few hours that we just couldn't bring ourselves to keep playing. This isn't just "Ubisoft" repetitiveness either as I've played several titles with the same friend/s like The Division 2 and Ghost Recon: Wildlands and had a lot more fun and playtime in. I feel that Far Cry just shouldn't be a multiplayer game.

However, I will admit throwing shovels at people was very fun.

Not really something that can be explained for me, I would put it on par with Journey and Shadow of the Colossus in terms of how it made me feel upon completion. A modern masterpiece that will live on forever as a classic.

Yeah it's alright

If you play for long enough you can shout at your friends and they stop dying, unfortunately nothing stops them from being bad at the game.

It's like Football, except killing the goalie isn't a felony....apparently
