Played this right after finishing the first game, and barely felt like there was a gap in the plot (Save the VR game). It is a markedly better game mechanically, visually and control wise. No super overpowered abilities like in Psychonauts 1, and a great continuation of a few plot threads from the first game. Easily goty.
