This game is a jolly good time, especially with a friend. Has just the right mix of old school difficulty combined with modern game features. Controller highly recommended.

Remember when it was time to leave the sandbox, and you got to destroy all of the stuff you had just built? That's this game! That feeling of destroying your sand castle is made even better because this game makes it challenging. Explosions, gunfights, a steady supply of EDF Humvees, and a hammer that becomes almost god-like... this game is so much gosh dang fun, I just love it!

Some devs add too much to a sequel, others not enough. Tripwire added just the right amount to KF2, so that it still feels like the first one while not feeling alien. The weapon upgrade system gives you a fighting chance in the end game with a mid tier weapon. The new zed types force you to alter your strategy mid game. Having more classes to choose from is also really nice. Overall it's just more enjoyable.

I do wish that the crosshair toggle was a server side setting.
I do wish there were more Anti-Aliasing settings available.

A centralized hub with the newest engine options for all the old content that you own. The bar has been officially raised, and it puts into perspective how much other developers need to improve their strategy for modern content delivery. Croteam is the best!

I'm so sad that they ruined the second one with the crosshair. However, this one is still a good game, and I frequently go back to play it all the time. That is why I feel it should win the Test of Time award.
