Too grindy and prohibitively punishing towards people who don't spend money or play too much.

Edit: after another 557 hours i'd like to add up that while you can dump around 8 hours a day to bring yourself to a reasonably competitive level, you're still stuck with a handful of systems directly tied to character progression that lack any sort of bad luck protection and extremely low odds (tripod transfer, stone cutting, card collecting, quality upgrade).

All the while the game population seems to be going down, crystal prices going up forcing people to bring their looted rare accessories prices down to make up for the prohibitive pheon cost stagnating the auction house.

Edit 2: Another thousand hours sunk in, game got to a point there's no more overlapping content that my friends who never quit and I do, and the gatekeeping is so brutal i'm hardstuck buying carries or waiting endlessly on queue for people to join, mostly to the point people get tired and leave before even entering the legion raid. No merges planed for any north / south american servers.

Bought both base game and Season pass, liked the base game, loved the premise of a game that would get worked upon as time went on.

Every DLC has been pretty shoddy, not a whole lot of content, then finally one of them caught my eye (Awesome Level Max).

Man, was I pissed off to find out the one thing that would bring me back to the game was behind a new paywall, because RedLynx came up with a new definition of Season Pass, more focused on the Season than the Pass. Not spending another buck in this game, recommend that you avoid it too, this is everything that's wrong with the industry.

Oh, and it has microtransactions too.
