The storytelling is nonexistent, the mechanics awful and the overall level design painful.
It's as if a bunch of people that hate each other pretended to make a game but didn't exchange a single word, that's how inconsistent and senseless everything is.

The first third of the game is almost playable if you consider it as a mindless hack and slash but the further you go the worse it becomes.

The positive reviews are just a bunch of random coomers that should touch grass more often and stop doing inappropriate things in the dark of their basement.

You can see it from the achievements, 75% of people stop before the first half of the game.

There are some minors issues (clutter on screen at endgame, a lot "is that it?" moments) but overall it's a fun game, especially on the Steam Deck.

Controls can be sometimes really annoying, at least on a controller.

Is this supposed to be some kind of joke?

It's an interesting idea but implemented in absolutely the worst way possible.
The HUD? It's so stupid, wrong, useless and meaningless that no HUD is actually better than what they give you.
The controls? Oh gawd, if you smash your head against your keyboard or joystick you will be able to make more sense out of it. It's obvious that the developers just had a list of things you can do and randomly assigned buttons (you can imagine the total lack of competence by the fact that they think that a controller suits better this game, lol).
The gameplay? There is none. You just open the game, look at the same branch, stand up and watch around a couple of thousands times, rinse and repeat, there is nothing more.

As other said you can't save and with the existing autosave you better of just never turning off your computer. Not that you need saving, this game is you meaningful that you can just close it whenever something bad happens and try again; the last save is two days ago? Who cares, same value as a checkpoint 30 minutes before.

If I could pick a single thing in my life to change it would be never trying out this game.

Actually more fun than other "party games" and can be easily played alone as they include decent bots.
