Delightful little programming game, short but very polished for what it is

Will draw in even non-platformer fans, music is incredible

Man. I'd heard about this game via noticing it pop up on a few GOTY and Indie GOTY nominations, but wrote it off as 'not my thing' due to my general adversity to platformers. Then I saw TGH_sr play it at GDQ and saw how nicely it.... flowed, for lack of a better term.

- Graphics are cute, pixelated but with modern tweaks.
- Audio is....... wow...... Lena Raine has put together a masterpiece with this soundtrack. Kevin and the other guys made sure it worked so well integrated into the game with the SFX.
- Controls are great, I recommend a controller with a good D-PAD though. I use the XBox One controller, but I've heard people say the Dualshock controllers tend to have better D-PADs. Analogue stick is basically needed for one mechanic in-game, but 99% of the time you get more accurate control with the D-PAD. Accuracy is key with your dashes/jumps, particularly during later levels.
- Learning curve is excellent, with one exception. Level 3 has a notorious spike, but generally the game does a great job at easing you into new areas and concepts.

Longer story short, I'm now 16/25 levels in and loving it.
