Serious Sam is probably one of the most underrated FPS franchises ever. It's over the top nonsense that doesn't take itself seriously at all. It's the B-Movie of shooters and I have loved all of them.

I played for 4 hours straight on launch day and haven't experienced a single issue other than a bit of minor pop in. I got exactly what I expected, hordes of monsters and a heaps of fun. If you like Serious Sam for what it is and always has been I recommend this game.

EDIT: Thank you for listening to us Valve. After the update I played all night and had a blast. Now I can 100% recommend this game to everyone, even the leftys!

If you are a right handed person I can 100% recommend this game, but until the current control scheme is changed I cannot recommend it to my fellow leftys. If you switch to left handed mode the gun goes in the correct hand but the controls are completely switched. This means that my left analogue stick is now turning and the right stick is movement, and for me that's completely unplayable. So currently, I either have the choice of bad aim with my right hand, or just bad controls in general. Until this is changed this will be a thumbs down from me.

Timeless. Still as good as when I played it back when it first came out. The Enhanced Edition is just the icing on the cake.
