This is an amazing , slow-paced, meditative game narrative with striking visual to go with.

It's a Visual Novel so interactions are limited. Translation is not complete in a few places in the menu but I feel there I got a lot of value from it, especially for the price charged.

It brought me back to those old pulpy sci-fi books that took themselves seriously exploring specific themes and just creating lore.

I recommend no doubt.

I don't know if the game is ported from mobile but the controls are not at all intuitive. There are affordances in the control scheme of this type of game: the button i use to select a unit should not be same one I use to move the unit. I shouldn't have to unselect a unit before selecting another. That's probably only a problem because we made the same mouse button do everything.

The story is a tad generic. Oh the alliance is "capitalistic" and the coallition is totalitarian?

with that said, I don't regret the purchase. Buy it on sale on a bundle and expect a few hours of turn-based tactics. The product is bug-free, which nowadays is not the given it should be.

Executed an idea I had thought about for two years now. It's a great game, for the casual crowd, very fun storytelling and it pusshes the telltale envelope by actually adding some level of risk to your failure. Thematically, it's mostly about pushing the player to be politcal even if it avoids fully commiting to any set of political ideas. This both adds to and detracts from the writing, making it more acessible at the expense of an otherwise stronger message. I'd very much like to see a sequel that bulds upon the ideas in here and makes a truly perfect roguelike-adventure game. In the meantime, this game delivers a lot of that already.

Condensed Far Cry experience with the best characters and best aesthetics. Do not take it seriously and you'll love it. My only regret is not doing more of the side missions before reaching the end of the game. Really go through the extra missions, it will make the endgame more exciting, I promise you.

It's an elegant presentation with a very sobering narrative about life and love. And it's free. And it's finishable in less than an hour. Just sit down and think about your own actions when you put it down. It might surprise you. It should scare you.

6.5/10 - Like Tommy's best reading grade on my playthrough.
I think what is going to determine whether you like it or not is how much you can connect with the weakest narrative (the kid's) at the weakest point (in the second to last chapter). The game has a nice pacing but fails to deliver on very impactful decision making and the fact that all you get are stills that illustrate your decisions is disapointing. Having said that, I liked the 2 other characters and I found their dilemmas to be interesting plenty. I think this should have been a longer game with a bigger cast of characters (the drama was pretty decent, unlike the secondary mystery plot). I think it stands as a great proof of concept that any willing designer should look into and expand upon (outright steal) and make the superior game this was meant to be.

Something that could not be completely called a game, and yet, could not be without being one.
