I enjoyed the first Knight Bewitched, and this sequel follows a similar style to the first game with respect to story, gameplay, and general atmosphere. I don't typically play these style of games, but I had an enjoyable time. My play time isn't accurate as I left the game on, but there's a decent amount of content. For those who don't like missing out on items, there's a handbook and guide available if you're stuck or don't like missing content.

Early Access Review
A solid space RPG game which is focused on the action. While currently in early access, I am having fun while playing it.

The main gameplay has you flying a ship through star systems, destroying enemies, and picking up equipment/money and upgrading your mothership and fleet. You have up to 4 ships out at the same time, with the ones not being controlled handled by the AI. It has a nice exploration style as you fly around and discover new items to be used.

As mentioned this review is done while the game is in early access, but there is a lot of potential out there. The developer is pretty active in the forums which is a very welcomed aspect for these kind of games.

EDIT 2021/05/26 - I am currently helping out with the game. The review above was made before my involvement.

I've beaten the game 100% after about 10 or so hours. Overall I've really enjoyed the experience from start to end. There's a lot of care with dialogue between characters, each having their own personality mixed in with humour. While most interactions occur in between stages in a hub, there is a lot of dialogue within stages which adds to the story and atmosphere of the characters. The music is well done. The animation is smooth, with solid controls. Combat involves physical attacks as thrown items, with some limited abilities. There's a grappling mechanic to both move around and support you in combat which adds to the depth. Each of the stages in the game introduces some sort of new mechanic or concepts which keep the levels fresh. Strengthening your character involves finding upgrade resources, which can take some time to locate.

I hope they make a sequel to this as the mix of story, fun game play, and characters add together nicely.

Pros:
- Fun game play
- Attractive art style, but this is subjective
- Solid dialogue
- Good grappling mechanics.
- Smooth animations
- Great atmosphere
- Interesting characters
- Light hearted story
- The developers fix issues that are found, which help cut the cons

Cons:
- Limited variety of enemies
- After beating the game, and finding collectables, there's not much replay value
- Limited # of abilities that are actually useful
- Screen scrolling wasn't smooth before, but this was patched to be smoother recently

Like:
- Engaging story with history told in game (voice, collectables, etc)
- Detailed environments and atmosphere seen through parkour style travel
- Voice acting, during gameplay and with narratives
- Music great in and out of combat
- Memory mixing events are innovative and very fun
- Combat is interesting with combos in Arkham style fighting
- Combo lab is innovative
- Non-typical protagonist

Dislike:
- Combat is repetitive
- Camera angles can get a bit off in combat
- Cannot skip previous scenes
- If you dislike Arkham style fighting, you will dislike this
- Combo lab is tedious
- Collectables, while fleshing out the history of the game, are annoying to find
