Hollow Knight is such an amazing game. If you even remotely like Metroidvanias please give it try. My reflexes are terrible and I'm no master player, but if I can 107% this game then even you can. (Path of Pain withstanding...) The atmosphere is fantastic and the story telling is minimal but every bit of lore really enhances the game. And the music is absolute perfection. If you are having any second thoughts, please use my review to convince yourself to get it.

The first third is the amalgamation of everything I hate about anime. Insipid kawaii moe-blob imouto girls with flimsy excuses for quirks all surrounding a douche of a harem MC.

Once you pass that portion it becomes more interesting.

No choices though, pure novel.

Experience is enhanced with the ps3 graphics and voice mod so slap that on before trying.

Literally cried while finishing this. Can't imagine going through the other route myself.

20/10 would not play again in fear of destroying happiness.

[Edit] I lied. I bought the game again off of Humble Bundle and played Genocide. 20/10 would murder all my friends again. I have joined the club for the awful people who defeated the final boss.

Very fun game! While the story/script needs some fine tuning and there were some characterization hiccups (why was Kuro forgiven so easily I don't understand), but I had a great time playing it! And there were many save points so it made many sections very doable even if I'm unused to them (such as the Street Fighter mode). I'm also very interested in potential DLC if it would clear up more of the story.

All in all, if you love Chrono Trigger, Legend of Zelda, and a whole bunch of mishmash of games in the 90s then boy is this up your alley!

Came for the pigeon fricking. Stayed for the pain and suffering.

10/10 would cry over birds again.
