I swear I only play this game because it's a fun clicker.
Totally no other reason.

I don't often write reviews, but I have to give credit where it's due. I'll do my best to keep the games content as mysterious as possible for the one pondering wether to buy this or not.
Everyone is tired of cheap jumpscares. Monsters are generally not scary. Games go boring/annoying eventually.
This game do not suffer this.

What I first was amazed about were upon entering Darkwater. The use of dim light, and a green-esque color on lamps where it deems fit, made it feel lovecraftian and gave the game a personality.

Going further into the game, it has given me the rare feelings of helplessness.
Sometimes, you question what is real and not. The feelings of uncertainty builds a fear in you.
I honestly haven't felt like this since Amnesia.

I could tell that the creators had a love of H.P. Sure, They had their own kind of creativity, but this should be encouraged. A straight off adaption is something I would not appreciate as much personally.

The only downside I feel, is graphics. For the cost of the game, one would expect something more like our newer games.
That left me slightly bothered in the beginning cutscenes.

All in all, I felt at the get-go that this was a promising game. If you're looking for a good horror, I recommend this.
