I started playing this game after having an urge to play Stardew Valley again but found SV to just feel outdated in terms of graphics and gameplay.
Fields of Mistria to me is just a better polished version of SV, that has huge potential.
It is still very much unfinished and a lot of very important content is missing, but by the time you get to the point where progress is limited by content, you definitely already got your moneys worth out of it.

I don't know. I really wanted to love this game, but it just does not do the trick for me.
The controls are as basic as they get. Run. That's it.
And the game is reasonably fun for the first one or two hours, but afterwards it just becomes an insane grind fest.
I 11 hours in and I am nowhere close to even the basic unlocks being done.

And the game has just been insanely repeptivie for the past couple of hours.

Really wanted to like the game, but I just cannot recommend it.
There is just not much to do in the game. Motorsport Manager used to have more interaction than F1 Manager has.
To see any level of progress it takes 2-3 seasons. Each season takes around 10 hours however, even if you simulate training/quali sessions.
In between races you basically just wait for upgrades to finish to start new ones. The races themselves are only really interesting if there is rain coming. A standard dry race basically always ends up exactly in the order of the strength of the cars. There are sometimes minor accidents, but in the first season I have seen one Safety Car that messed up the order a bit. Most of the time nothing really unexpected happens.

I would recommend to buy the game, play including the first race, and then think about returning it or not. Because after the first race you have literally seen everything the game has to offer.

To me personally this was the best RPG since Gothic 2.
It just felt like an uphill battle, but every little success and overcoming of something that seemed completely impossible just a few hours ago, just feels incredibly rewarding.

I love the storytelling. It is never over the top or artificial. It does feel like you are experiencing the times in an accurate manner.

Beautifully told story in a scenic environment.

However the technical side of things is just awful. Loading times are insane. Probably a third of my game time was being stuck in loading times. There are endless bugs even 4 years after release and I had multiple crashes alongside it.

I would play the game all over again if I was able to. Highly recommeded

It's fun. And it's not.

If you just want to casually reform a democracy into a dictatorship and you don't mind forcing your opinion on everyone you will enjoy this game.

But after you played it once, you will be bored. there is really not much to this game.
