Put a bunch of time into the first and second beta. This is a good take on the Warframe formula, offering a reset of sorts with a running start having learned from games that came before it.

Note; however, that unlike Warframe, there is no trading.

Game is fine. I don't understand most of the negative reviews.

It's literally Zelda x Dark Souls. Wish the optional 'dungeon' areas were a little more fleshed out but the world and main content make up for it.

Taking the in-game value of all the items into account, this is a great bundle.

If you actually utilize enough of the bundle to justify the value, that is.

Combat (especially endgame) has the speed and fluidity of League of Legends combat.
Mix that in with MMO mechanics and you get Lost Ark.

Story has mixed reviews.
Launch/early server issues spark overreactions.
The great debate of P2W rages on just as incessantly as ever.
Tolls. Bots. None of this is new and exists everywhere else.

Whatever.

You take the combat of LoL and put it in an MMO, and it's fun. *shrug*

Like Aria/Dawn of Sorrow?

Then stop looking for an excuse in the reviews and buy it already.

It's Monster Hunter. Either you like the series, or you don't.

If you're new to Monster Hunter, you'll need to look into some in depth gameplay videos- lest you end up like many others complaining about legitamate features/mechanics as if they were issues.

One of the best ARPGs I've ever played. Awesome story with awesome twists, and the combat has enough going at once to keep things interesting 50+ hours into it.
Though I also haven't had any of the problems other reviewers talk about having.

Yes, the game was marketed as a multiplayer game right up until release.

Despite that, I still had fun.

This could have been a game that crashed and burned, deemed an A-grade cash grab, but the dev team instead has worked hard to improve the game to create a tale of redemption.

That doesn't mean everyone will like this game. This is the kind of game you play with progressive music in the background. This is a game for people looking for the long haul. For people who can stop and smell the roses. A game that people who play simulators or hunting games might enjoy.
