I don't really think of DE as a video game. It definitely is, but what it *feels* like is playing a non-combat tabletop RPG, crafted with exquisite, obsessive love and attention to detail by someone who probably thinks about psychology and political philosophy more than is good for them.

Made me cry several times in at least three different ways (outright crushing sadness, redemptive joy, and just... indeterminate, a lot of emotions). I've never played something that connects anything like as deeply with the wonderful, horrible experience of being this type of animal. Big recommend.
