I bought multiple copies of Overwatch 1 at launch for my brother and friends who couldn't afford it and I played it for 1000 hours. It has been my go-to game to pass time since its original release until I dropped it after the final nail in the coffin which was the announcement of the PvE being cancelled. I wasn't even that excited about PvE to begin with, but this was the major component that justified the content drought in OW1 and the 2 in OW2.

Below is a list of reasons that made me quit Overwatch indefinitely.

• Their value proposition is completely messed up. They are not even coherent with themselves. Most skins that are not recolours cost 20€ or more. For the price of two legendary skins, you could buy the original Overwatch 1 or plenty of AA or indie games that you could enjoy for tens or hundreds of hours. Let that sink in people. No consumer in their right mind and who has self-respect should buy these things.
  
• Overwatch 1 Loot Boxes (earn via gameplay at the rate of 1-2 minimum per gameplay session) > Overwatch 2 Battle Pass (10€ each season)
  
• 15€ for 3 PvE missions (1h30~ gameplay of archieve missions v1.02)

• 5v5: Removing a tank from the equation removed a lot of synergies for tanks, and placed a huge burden on this role. You just cannot play the game if your tank dies and a lot of tanks don't even feel like tanks, they are supposed to dive into enemy lines leaving the team defenseless. Having the worse tank is pretty much a guaranteed loss. To compensate for the removal of a tank they made tanks superheroes that are extremely tanky and can annihilate whole teams with their ults.
  
• Player Balance: No balance whatsoever in Quick Play and all ranks are super inflated in Ranked so you end up seeing people in lobbies that do not belong (low elo players in high elo lobbies or vice versa).
  
• Hero Balance: Every other week they (over)buff a new tank which becomes the meta and dominates every game making any other picks pretty much "troll"
  
• Progression Systems: They removed pretty much all progression systems; levels, unlockables
  
• Mechanics: They removed: On fire, cards, and voting system at the end of the game

• They let Overwatch 1 rot by investing all dev into OW2 which is in my honest opinion unworthy of being called a sequel
  
• They decommissioned Overwatch 1 which people bought and replaced it with its downgraded successor
  
• They squandered what Overwatch could have been for a cash shop "upgrade"

I left Overwatch with a heavy heart because deep down, I still like the gameplay, characters, and the universe. I urge all gamers to take a stand for the games they used to or still love and stop apologizing for every bad decision that companies make to satisfy their shareholders. If you bought Overwatch 1, if you used to or still do like Overwatch and think that it deserved better as a franchise, be a better consumer, have some more self-respect, and if you think "No, the state of the game and the direction it has taken are not OK", for the love of god, make yourself heard with your wallet and your playtime.

Gameplay, whether, exploration and especially combat is pretty clunky and slow.
I spent a lot of time tweaking the graphic settings to get rid of the constant micro stuttering but to no avail, despite having a decent PC. Definitely poorly optimized.
The archipelago looks nice but feels empty. This is further exacerbated by the lack of voice acting which is only fully done in cutscenes that are far in between and cannot really breath life into an open world.
Good idea. Bad execution. Had gotten on sale for 11€ and refunded after 3 hours.

Pros:
- Nice and original art style/stroy telling/character designs
- Nice map design
- Very nice stealh gameplay
- Very nice co-op gameplay
- Very nice skill set
- Smooth controls

Cons:
- A bit short

Pros :
- The creepy/eerie atmosphere is very well established

Cons :
- Anti-climactic and overall terrible ending(s)
- Altough you make decisions they seem/feel inconsequential
- The skill system is really terrible and the impact of each skill questionable (sometimes you will miss things like collectible documents that would explain more about the lore and the story if you haven't attributed enough points in a specific skill... with no way of knowing beforehand)
- Very linear (just following the main plot)
- Different gameplay styles, namely, shooting (Press 'E' when an enemy is in your sreen and has the action button displayed on top of their head/Power skill will determine whether you hit or miss) and stealth (AI is dumb and nearly blind, no challenge whatsoever) don't really work.
- Biggest drawback would be the price. This is not an eperience worth 45€. I would recommend it after the price goes down to 20 - 30€ range.
