Early Access Review
Solid survival game in early access. Definitely needs work in terms of features, but it is stable and has a good amount already in it to do.

The game is pretty much exactly what you would want from a sequel.

-Great graphics
-Great story that lends itself well to continuing the first game
-Great music and atmosphere

-Edit after completing the game

If you wanted the something exactly like the first game but with a continuation of the story and better graphics. This is absolutely that.

I will say the Sea of Corpses in the first game is still my favorite part in the series.

This is exactly the game I would hope it would be. There was some getting used to the controls but that was relatively quick. A lot of the people are complaining about the difficulty of the game, but at this point if you are going into a FromSoftware game and expect it to be anything but hard. That is a you a problem.

The customization of the AC's is pretty impressive. Pair this with the ability to change your build on the fly in order to adjust to the current challenge, makes for a great combination. There was one boss where I felt forced into a particular build that I didn't enjoy, however every other boss has been able to be beaten with a variety of builds. That one boss would be the single thing I didn't like in the game. Every other boss and mission has been very fun and rewarding once I have beaten them.

The positives of the game are that the gameplay and classes are actually really fun and if the activities outside of legions, gearing, and release sch of content was good the game would be great.

First the game is pay to win, many players will try and claim that it isnt and there is a cap to how much money you can spend on the game. The bottom line is that people who whale and spend thousands on the game will have an inherent advantage over those who dont. In some cases some content being released in windows where only whales have access to said content and if you dont want to whale you are looking at spending hundreds of hours just to keep the gap between you and releasing content within range. Depending on how lucky you are even spending hundreds of hours may not be enough. The events are all the same in the game and there is very little to actually do in the game currently other than the repetitive chores you do on your main and alts every day. The one saving grace in terms of the content in the game is legion raids which are incredibly fun and continuing forward this would make for a great base for the game to improve with more updates. The problem is that smilegate has decided that a slow release of content particularly class release is the way they are moving forward, meaning if there is a class you want to play that you have seen on the korean version of the game then you may not get to play the class until next year.

This game could be great the classes are fun and enjoyable if you get to play the class you want. The legion raids are really fun so far. The game is exploitative and the content very repetitive. This is all on top of a massive botting issue in the game because there are a lot of players who apparently think spending $400 a day isnt exploitative enough so they turn to RMT sites in order to get unlimited in game materials to continuously upgrade and put an even bigger distance between themselves and everyone else.

If you are looking for a game with a compelling story this is not it. The story is basically set around different continents and each continent is a copy paste adventure of a different already existing game. Want to replay ff7? look no further than arthetine. Diablo 3 more your style feiton has it copied.

Ill continue to play the game since I really have nothing else play and have the hope that smilegate will actually improve the game at a good rate rather than drip feed classes. I wouldnt recommend this game to anyone though and if the game continues down this path ill be gone at the first chance when a new mmo comes out or even the new wow xpac.
