Really good on a first playthrough but not as replayable as it wants to be.

Unfortunately because most npcs have a chance of being human or visitors with no change between dialogue, it becomes less of a deduction game and more of a guessing game. Plus once you figure out that the visitors in your home can’t kill the protagonist, it loses all its tension.

I think this would all still be fine if you could save between nights but that’s locked behind a consumable. For me, it was just way too tedious to replay for other endings.

Overall, I think the atmosphere is great but really could’ve used more playtesting. I don’t think it’s really worth the asking price as is but it had a lot of potential.

it's a very cute and somewhat difficult management game a la pathologic (not a joke). i agree with all the criticisms - we didn't see too much of the negatives of EDs, the ending feels underbaked, not everything was resolved or kinda just fixed themselves at the end, and it did feel preachy from the mega church scene onwards. still, i can't really fault the devs if this is meant to be autobiographical. not everyone's experience with EDs and anxiety is the same and real life rarely ties up loose ends so neatly. i can still recommend the game for anyone interested in memoir experiences, especially those dealing with the worst parts of adolesence presented in the most charming way

that was very cute but being stuck at the end because i couldn't find the last anomalies was kinda frustrating

really pleasant surprise from redcandle games. if you like metroidvanias or even just parrying in general, you should give this one a try
