I was interested in this game when it first came out but was scared away by the negative reviews. I finally purchased it after the the 'Beyond' update and could not be happier. It is is a time sink but one in which I have no regrets in losing that time. The fact that the publisher has stuck with it and works with the community is awesome. Many other publishers would either have given up or released DLC that you have to pay for to fix the problems. The 'Synthesis' update proves this. The fact that I have over 100 hours in and feel that I have barely scratched the surface. Highly recommend and can't wait to see what comes next

Start as Germany
Conquer France, Poland, Low Country, Scandanavia, England and Russia by 1940.
Lose 30 Divisions and 2 years invading Ireland.
Worth it!

A game that never gets old. I have played this game since '98 and still enjoy my visits to Baldur's gate.

Great way to kill time. I like the old school D&D feel combined with the card game aspect.

I have been playing the Civ series since the first game. This version is great. I find the game play to be fun and the learning curve is not very steep. The graphics add to the game. If I ever want to see 12 hours go by real fast, I start this game up.
